Cross woke up, looking around he saw his partner wasn't in bed-meaning he had already awoken before him.Cross wasn't worried about that, infact he was worried about a specific question he wanted to ask the taller
You see Cross and Nightmare have been married for 2 years already and Lately Cross had been having thought about..Children, Of course it made him nervous about how he would even approach his husband about it but figured he'd finally tell him today after giving much thought.
He got dressed in his usual attire and left the bedroom he shared with his partner and headed downstairs,
There he met up with the rest of the crew, Dust being the first one to speak up "Hey Cross, Horror said breakfast is almost ready, mind getting Nightmare?" Cross looked around and saw Killer had finished setting up the table. "Sure"

And with that Cross had turned on his heel and went towards Nightmares office, assuming he'd be in there, if not then the library, nonetheless he knocked on the door and heard a voice on the other side."Come in". With that he opened the door, walked in and saw Nightmare looking at documents around his desk
"Hey...breakfast is almost ready", Cross said with a gentle tone, Nightmare looked up at him
"I'll be There in a moment" he answered as he put the papers down.Cross walking up next to him. "These documents have taken over you completely haven't they?" Cross said, chuckling.
"Yes, well you know how it is dearest". As Nightmare finished saying that he scooped Cross onto his lap, having his lover face him.
Cross didn't mind that, as he cuddle closer to his husband's chest feeling a tendril press lightly into his back, but Cross still felt that question lingering into the back of his mind, making him even more nervous, Of course Nightmare noticed a changed in his Partners mood and raised a non-existent brow.
"Is there something troubling you?" He asked, grabbing Cross' chin too pull his face up. Cross opened his mouth to say something but immediately closed it, having second thoughts."No Hun, I'm fine" was all he said, Nightmare was about to ask him about it until Cross spoke up again."We should head downstairs before breakfast gets cold". Nightmare wanted to question Cross, but I figured to let this one slide, After all he could ask later.
So the Two went downstairs and enjoyed breakfast with the rest of the gang, having small conversations with one another, but Cross still felt-Shy, yes that's the word- it didn't go unnoticed as Nightmare couldn't help but feel uneasy himself knowing something was bothering his smaller lover, but again he let it go until after breakfast.

"Cross"
Cross turned to look at his partner who had followed him upstairs shortly after fixing up downstairs
He had gone up to they're room in hopes to calm down
"Cross, what's wrong? I feel your uneasy about something" Nightmare said as he walked up to Cross and cupped his cheek, his partner couldn't help but melt into his touch,closing his eyes in hopes of atleast getting rid of his nerves
"I'm fine Nighty, nothing you need to worry yourself with" Cross responded knowing full-well that Night could still sense his feelings.
"Button,this isn't Nothing, Tell me what's bothering you..Please?" Nightmare tried to be gentle and patient, waiting for Cross to give him an answer
"...."
"Nightmare, I've..been wanting to ask you something", Cross answered still holding Nights hand gently on his cheek as his partner waited patiently for his next word
"I-Ive been t-thinking...A-And I've given i-it much thought-b-but i-i don't k-know h-how you'd f-feel about t-this-I-I..-"Cross stopped his rambling when Nightmare took the hand he had on his cheek and brought it to his chin, Night saw the look in Cross' eyes and noticed tears start forming, quickly he brought his lover into a hug which Cross accepted.feeling his partner rub his back in a comforting manner.
"Shh,relax Cross its alright" hearing Cross start crying into his chest made Night pull away from the hug and cupped his lovers' cheek and brought him into an unadulterated kiss, Cross wrapped his arms around Nightmares neck and the kiss continued for a few seconds more until Night pulled away, still holding Cross close
"Sweetness, what's the matter? I don't like seeing you like this" and truth be told Nightmare had made it rather clear time and again that he'd much rather find Negativity from someone else and not his Partner
"I-Im sorry, I just..." Cross wanted to tell him so desperately but his words kept failing him, but he realized that this would get them nowhere.
"I w-want a baby Nightmare...", Cross finally said as tears pricked at his eye once more, burying his face against Nightmares chest,wishing to hide. Nightmare on the other hand stared at Cross with wide eyes, he couldn't believe what he just heard-
'Is this why he's been..' He thought to himself
Nightmare couldn't help but smile a little, as he hugged His husband tighter."Oh Cross, Is that what you wanted to tell me?".Cross could only Nod, still hiding himself into his Chest.
Nightmare held Cross' face forced him to look up at him,"Button there's no need to cry over this" was all he said before he kissed Cross again, passionately, Cross kissed back, tears still falling from his eyes, soon they parted and Night wiped away his tears, pressing his forehead onto Cross' gently before speaking
"Cross, i would love to have kids with you", at those words his partners' eyes widen. "Really?.."
"Of course Crossy,if you're ready.. so am i". Cross finally smiled and wrapped his arms around Nightmares neck feeling his husband wrap his arms around his waist, "I love you Night" Cross said hugging him tighter."I love you more Cross"

The next day arrived and Cross awoken first, he felt tired as hell but look over to see his husband surprisingly still in bed next to him
Smiling tiredly, he went to change but noticed something about his body, noting that his ecto was still formed, quickly he look in the mirror, seeing a tiny soul glowing and look back down at his stomach as if to confirm this was real and wasn't a silly dream
Cross couldn't help but have tears fill his eyes, he smiled and quickly went to his husband's side of the bed to awaken him
"Nightmare!Night get up!"Cross said shaking him harshly, Night got up startled."What-What happened!?"
Cross had tears running down his cheeks as Night looked at him
"Nightmare...I'm..",Cross could not finish his sentence as he kept crying and suddenly flung himself onto his partner, hugging him tightly.
Nightmare was stunned for a moment, but quickly sat up with Cross on his lap."Cross-?" He stopped talking as soon as he saw his lover-without a shirt- with his ecto still formed and a tiny soul inside.
"We're gonna be parents Night.."Cross added his tone gentle and full of love.
"Cross you actually.."Night finished his sentence and started peppering kisses on his lovers face, causing Cross to start giggling at the affection.
"Night-pfft!Nighty!!"
Cross did nothing to fight back the affection, Night hugged him close, his husband plating his head onto his chest when he stopped his affection.
"I can't believe this!We're gonna have a baby!"
Nightmare himself felt a tear prick his eye as he looked up at His love,Cross cupped his face and they both kissed eachother passionately
Soon they'd have a family.
