There once was a couple, who lived happily at home.
They had friends, two children and eachother.
They were inlove.
A skeleton, he was pale and wore a purple tunic. The circlet crown clear on his head, a crescent moon shiny on top.
He even had a brother.
The other skeleton. A monochromatic one. Wore mainly fluff and black and white.
Some call him the walking 'X'.
Cross and Nightmare.
They were happy together, they were a happy family.
They were...
Cross remembered so vividly how things had changed, it was so clear.
He was home with his children, Moonlight and Noah.

The kids were playing on the floor while Cross awaited the arrival of his husband.
Then a cry for help was heard,
He recognized it. It was Dream. Quickly running outside his home to find Nightmare limp in his brothers arms.
"DREAM!?"
Cross ran to them. His kids were now standing by the door as they were startled by they're Uncle's yell.
Dream set Nightmare in Cross's arms.
"NIGHTMARE?!"
He looked towards his brother in-law.
"What happened!!?"
"Im not sure!!"
Dream had a panicked look on his face.
"He was fine before he ATE something!?"
'He ate something?'
Cross looked down at his partner.
"Was was it?!"
"I-I dont know! It looked like some sort of fruit!"
A groan was heard between the two, Nightmare had woken up, much to their relief.
Cross set him down, and arm around his husband to help him stay up.
"Nightmare? Are you alright!?"
Nightmare opened his eye sockets, he looked around frantically until his eyes landed on Cross.
"Nightmare?"
Nightmare immediately pulled back, shoving the other away in the process.
"No! GET BACK!"
This startled both Dream and Cross.
"Nightmare?! Whats wrong?!"
Nightmare growled. His eyes a bright cyan color.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!!"
Cross was scared, what was going on?
Both Dream and Cross looked at eachother before they heard a loud CRACK.
they turned they're attention to Nightmare and their sockets immediately widened.
Dream covered his mouth as he witnessed tendrils break free from his brother back.
Nightmare cried out in pain as he fell to the floor.
Cross could only watch helplessly as more tendrils broke through his partners back, goop began to form around his skull, leaking from his eye sockets.
The cracking sound of bones breaking were sickening.
And once it was over, there was nothing but a black tar leaking skeleton infront of them now.
Tendrils swaying behind 'Nightmare'.
The two adults were paralyzed. Watching as Nightmare stood up and made eye contact with them.
And then a child's cry was heard.
"Dad?!"
Immediately Nightmares attention was on his kids, however he didnt seem to recognize them.
He let out an inhumane sound and darted towards the house.
