Y/n's POV
I opened my eyes, seeing Mama above me. "Oh good, you're awake." Mama said, as I sat up looking around. "Where are we?" I questioned. The surrounding trees smelled of concrete and asphalt. Mama looked around as Jiro, Sero, and Hagakure were looking around for something. "We're not sure. We just woke up here." Mama answered, looking around herself. Sero called to us before waving us to head over to him. We walked over to find Papa passed out on the ground. "Deku! Hey, wake up!" Mama called. I was shaking him gently as Mama called to him. Papa opened his eyes before sitting up and looked at us. "Uraraka? Y/n?" Papa asked, looking between us.
"You're not hurt, right?" Sero asked. Papa shook his head as he moved his arms. "I feel okay. Where are we? That bright light absorbed us. How did we end up in a jungle?" Papa asked, looking around trying to figure everything out like normal.
"No idea," Sero commented.
"Yeah. We have no clue how we got here," Hagakure added.
"This isn't a real forest. The trees smell like cement and asphalt mixed." I said, sniffing the air to confirm the smell. Papa got up before touching one tree around us before knocking on it. "The tree's hollow. It's fake. Are you sure about the smell?" Papa asked, looking at me. I nodded as he started looking around more. "This whole jungle is a manufactured illusion. Maybe he has a power like Yaoyorozu's and can produce inorganic matter? But how could one man create something this expansive?" Papa questioned.
"What about that girl? When Ginji was around her, he looked different, and his quirk was different." I pointed out. Papa started thinking about it, nodding as Hagakure asked if Ojiro had anything. I looked up, seeing Ojiro hanging from a tree trying to get his phone to connect to a signal. "No signal. We're on our own," Ojiro said.
"I don't hear anything outside the immediate area," Jiro said, using her quirk to listen to the ground.
"Okay. So what's our next move?" Ojiro asked, looking towards Papa.
"First off, we find the others; we have to make sure that everybody the light took is safe." Papa started.
"After that, we find the nearest exit." Sero said. We all nodded as we started walking through the forest, trying to figure out where we were. As we were running through the forest, the ground started shaking, forcing us to stop and keep ourselves from falling using the trees. "Feel that? Whatever this place is, it's not stationary. We're being moved somewhere." Papa commented. We started running again with Papa taking the lead while I followed behind Mama. Eventually, Papa hit something, stopping as he stuck to what seemed like a wall. "Are you alright?" Mama asked, walking over to him. He slid down the wall before looking up it.
"It's a giant wall." Papa said.
"It's a giant mural." Sero commented. I walked over, sniffing it, smelling the mixture of asphalt and concrete, but now there was also metal mixed in with it. "Guess this is as far as we go." Jiro said.
"Look over here! There's like a manhole cover!" Hagakure called. We turned to see her standing over a manhole cover. All of us walked over before Papa took the cover off as we looked down into it. "Can't see anything. It's too dark inside." Papa said, squinting to try to see anything.
"A creepy chute doesn't sound fun, but it might be our way out." Sero suggested.
"We need to see where this leads." Jiro pointed out.
"No problem. The three of us can explore it together." Mama said, looking at Papa and me. I nodded before taking my small fox form. Papa lifted me into his arms before using Float and pushing himself down into the manhole. My eyes adjusted to the darkness until I could finally see better. "I'm not seeing anything." I said.
"Thanks for keeping an eye out." Papa said. I nodded as we continued down the manhole, only for Papa to suddenly start falling. He screamed as we slid down the manhole before he caught himself on the wall, allowing me to land on his shoulder. "What happened?" I asked.
"I can't use One For All. It's like when Mr Aizawa uses Erasure on me." Papa answered. I nodded, curious if whatever was happening to Papa was going to happen to me. "Everything good, Deku? Y/n?" Mama called.
"Uraraka! Don't come any closer to me! Something happened, and now my quirks have disappeared." Papa called.
"Disappeared?" Mama asked.
"Go back up and ask Sero to shoot down a bunch of Tape!" Papa called.
"I'll be right back! You two stay safe!" Mama called. Papa looked around before I felt myself start changing back to my human form. "Uh... Papa, I'm changing back." I said. Papa looked at me as I instantly changed back, adding a bunch of weight to him before we slipped down the tunnel. I held on tight as we slid down the tunnel before coming out of the roof somewhere before landing in the snow with Papa as we continued to roll. I tried changing to my giant fox form, but nothing was happening as we went into free fall for another moment before splashing. The snow around us melted away due to the water before we stood up completely soaked. "I thought we were going to die," Papa admitted.
"Mama wouldn't have been happy if you had let that happen." I said. Papa nodded as we waded to the bank of the pond. I followed behind Papa as we looked around, seeing that we were in a new area. This time it was a mountain range instead of a jungle. "First a jungle, now a mountain range? What's going on?" Papa questioned.
'What about One For All? I asked.
"Still can't use them. We need to rejoin the others fast." Papa said. I nodded as we continued walking before Papa spotted something. He rushed over to what he saw before I saw something being aimed at Papa. "It's you..." Papa said, looking at the man who had tried to shoot the girl earlier.
"Great. You're the ones who got in my way earlier. The naïve hero children." The man said.
"Hello." I said, waving at him. He ignored me, looking at Papa still. "I'd be grateful if you showed me where the exit is." The man said.
"I don't know where we are. We just dropped out of the sky a few minutes ago." Papa answered.
"My apologies. I didn't know your quirk was ignorance." The man said, getting up.
"That's rude. Papa was just trying to help you." I said. The man looked at me before turning away. "I have nothing more to say. Kindly take your leave and die in a different location." The man said, sitting down for something that smelled like coffee.
"Earlier, you were trying to assassinate that hostage, weren't you?" Papa questioned. The man didn't answer as he took a drink from his cup. "Why would you do that?" Papa asked.
"My actions are none of your business." The man said. He drew a gun before firing it. The round flew past us as I turned, seeing someone get hit and drop to the ground. "Did you just?" Papa asked. My ears flicked to the side as I heard people getting close to us. "Two to the left!" I called. The man and Papa reacted quickly as the three of us moved out of the way of gunfire. "They're not even gonna talk to us before shooting?" Papa questioned.
"Isn't this when a hero should swoop into action?" The man asked.
"Papa's quirk is turned off for some reason." I answered. The man sighed as he looked at Papa. "Perfect. I'm stuck with the utterly helpless." The man said. He kicked papa forcing him out from behind the rock we were using for cover as he ran around behind the men shooting at us and taking them out. I came out from behind the rock, seeing Papa shaking a little while the man reloaded his gun. "You're far more useful as a distraction." The man said.
