A/n: Welcome to the final chapter of U.A. High's Little Kitsune! It's also a sad day with sad news. This story has finally reached its conclusion. Now I know that's the sad news, but there is some good news. I've been thinking about continuing this as its own story, line. I'd love ideas in the comments and anything like that. Also, I imagine the reader wearing something like Ahri's outfit from LOL just not showing as much skin. And yes, I scheduled this chapter to come out a bit later than the other. Last thing, I promise, I have kept this story on my storyboard and have written it for five years. Chapter 1, as posted for me, came out January 7th, 2021. And obviously, this chapter came out today, January 24th, 2026.
Y/n's POV
Papa, Mama and I were out doing some hero work one day when we got a report about a strange person wandering the streets. The three of us rushed over before spotting an older woman holding a young man's hand. We didn't interfere and smiled at each other, happy to see someone reach out to someone else. The next eight years passed in a blur of hero work, school, and getting back to a normal life. Dad grew up, and eventually the ember of One For All faded before taking a role as a teacher with the hero course students at UA while I continued growing, although I hadn't gained another tail past my sixth one during the battle with Himiko Toga, Eri had moved in with Kota and the Wild Wild Pussy Cats. It was a busy day at UA as I was working on grading some papers that Dad's class had submitted for an assignment. Between being a full-time Pro Hero, Dad's teacher's aide, and helping Mom get the word out about her quirk counseling, I was a busy little fox. I was grading some papers from Papa's students as my ears flicked up before hearing the door to the hall open. I looked up, spotting Kota looking in. "Hey, Midoriya... Mister Deku, Miss Trix, where should the class meet up for today's practical exercise?" Kota asked.
"The bus stop and make sure you note how we get to the USJ. Want Y/n to come and help you out?" Dad answered.
"Nope, I'm all good here. I'll let everyone know." Kota said, shutting the door and heading off to meet up with the other students. Dad continued writing in his little notebook while I smiled, finishing the papers with ease before setting them on Dad's desk. My one secret wish was for Mom and Dad to admit their feelings for each other, yet each day it seemed more like a dream. Aizawa gave me some paperwork to fill out for Dad since he always spaced filling it out. As I was filling out the paperwork, I could hear someone watching some news where they were talking about Koda and Shoji. The two of them were spearheading movements to end heteromorphic discrimination. "Hey, Midoriya, Y/n. You see this? Your old buddy's rank is about to nosedive again." Aizawa commented, showing us a clip of Kacchan shouting at someone.
"Oh, Kacchan. Wait a minute, I thought you were trying to get him to watch his mouth and act calmer." Dad replied.
"There's no way that's happening." I added.
"Obviously, I failed. Todoroki's going to have a more substantial lead over him on the charts. He's out there dealing with incidents day and night. While he may be awkward, he treats his fans extremely well. That brings up another good point, though. Y/n, your rank has steadily climbed to a similar position as Todoroki's, right? I hear these days that fewer and fewer people bring up the fact that he's Endeavor's son," Aizawa asked.
"Yeah. I've been working hard to keep on top of things while Mom's busy working on her quirk counseling idea. Plus, training the next generation while being public-facing has its perks." I commented.
"Todoroki's doing such an amazing job. At this rate, he might burn past Mt. Lady and Kamui Woods and possibly steal the top spot from Togata soon. And Monona is right on his heels. Yesterday, Togata was laughing and talking about how the pressure from below is intense." Dad added.
"Do you miss it?" Aizawa asked. Dad was quiet for a moment as he looked at his desk. "You know, a while back when Fuwa was talking in front of our class. Something occurred to me. Sure, I was quirkless again, but I could still use my experiences to encourage others, and then I'd end up pretty darn cool, huh? So, what do you think? Am I cool?" Dad asked. I groaned, thinking about that statement. "I think you need to be far stricter with your students." Aizawa commented. Papa looked to me to support him before I shook my head. "I agree with Aizawa." I said.
"It's the logical approach. The way things are going these days, any kid who can get into UA is practically guaranteed to become a pro hero after graduation. We have to be harsh, otherwise they'll be arrogant and lazy. Understand?" Aizawa asked.
"I suggested using the strategy you used on us on our first day here, but Dad didn't want to do something like that." I pointed out. Aizawa looked at me, nodding before looking back at Dad.
"But sir, you were pretty nice to us all things considered," Dad commented. Dad and I left UA walking through the city, passing by different things that showed our classmates working. We were walking through a public area with TVs as the news came on. "Red Riot has proven wildly popular with male fans. Keep watching to learn this manly hero's origin." The newscaster said. A couple of boys ran in front of us, shouting Kirishima's signature line. We stop in front of the All Might statue, looking up at it. "Wait up!" One of the boys called. My ears flicked back as I heard one of them trip. I moved faster than Dad, easily stopping the boy from falling with one of my tails. Dad's body moved on instinct before stopping as he noticed my tail holding the kid off the ground. I noticed a boy in front of me wearing what looked like a school uniform lying on the ground. The friend of the young boy came over asking if he was okay before I motioned for Dad to talk with the student in front of us. He nodded and walked over while I lifted the boy back onto his feet. "Are you doing okay?" I asked, looking at him with a smile.
"Your tails are so cool and fluffy!" The boy cheered as the others came over to me.
"Whoa, are you a hero, miss?" The other boy asked.
"I sure am. The name's Trix, the Kitsune Hero." I answered. The two boys freaked out a little before I made sure neither of them was hurt, before sending them off. I turned back to see Dad helping the student off the ground. "Huh? Deku? Midoriya! Izuku! Is it really you? I can't believe it!" the student asked.
"Looks like you're still popular as ever, Dad." I said, walking over to them. Dad offered him his handkerchief as the boy cleaned himself off. "Wait, is that Trix too? Wait, did you just call Deku dad? No way, Trix is really your daughter?" The student questioned. I smiled and used a little healing on him to make sure he wouldn't go home with bruises. "Ah, so you're getting ready for high school?" Dad asked.
"Everything feels like it's changing fast. My classmates have strong quirks, but not me. I'm a weakling. It's really hard for me to keep up with them. So sometimes I come here and talk to the All Might statue. I ask him, is it possible for me to be a hero, like you guys? Or..." the student started. Dad started mumbling about the kid's quirk and how he could throw the dots on his hair while talking about how Mineta used his own abilities. The student looked stunned that Dad was rambling on about the kid's quirk. "Don't mind him; this happens all the time. Dad, come on." I commented, trying to get Dad to focus. Dad stopped rambling before resting a hand on the kid's shoulder. "Don't worry, cause after all, I saw how you tried to lend a helping hand back there. Trust me. You too can become a hero. Don't give up, okay, kid?" Dad said. Dad gave him a big smile. The next day, as Dad and I were heading to UA, I noticed a familiar scent in the air. "Better get a move on, or you'll be late to class, young man." Uncle Might said.
"Whoa, All Might! Why didn't you say something? I would've picked you up at the airport." Dad said, looking at him.
"Hi Uncle Might. How are you doing?" I asked.
"I'm doing great, young Y/n. And I am here with a surprise gift for young Midoriya." Uncle Might said. I looked down to see the case in his hand before smiling wide, knowing full well what was inside the case. "I collected a ton of data during my last fight with All For One. Apparently, it's opened up some pretty incredible possibilities. Just as quirks develop and transform, so too does technology. As someone whos' wielded multiple quirks before, I'd like you to gather even more intel." Uncle Might said, setting the case in Dad's hands.
"Wow, the case looks super expensive." Dad commented. The case started transforming as Dad realized what it was. "What do you think? Young Hatsume and my friend overseas made it. Get this: your former classmates funded the project with two especially large donations from young Bakugo and young Y/n here. Don't hide it. When there's trouble, you still leap into action, don't you? Take this to heart, young man. That gift is another you've earned for your valiant efforts!" Uncle Might called. The gauntlet automatically encased Dad's arm as he cried. Dad gave Uncle Might a huge smile before turning and hugging me. Dad and I were let off for the day to do some hero work and get Dad back in the groove of things as a hero. "Landside on road, traffic's at a standstill. I'm requesting a hero dispatch!" Hawks' voice came through the radio as Dad was driving. He came to a stop as we climbed out of the car. "Come on, Deku," Kacchan said, holding his hand out for Papa. Everyone from our class took off heading towards the disaster to help.
