The Rogue Princess // Aemond Targaryen

Aemond bursts into Daelys' room suddenly. She looks up surprised and notices the tears in Aemond's eyes.

"What did they do?" Daelys asks.

"They gave me a pig." Aemond answers. "They said I don't deserve anything else."

Daelys sighs. She is sitting on her bed and pats the space beside her. Aemond sits down and rests his head against her shoulder.

"Why do you let them get to you?" Daelys whispers to Aemond while stroking his hair.

"I can't always help it, Dae." He answers. "And it won't be so bad if Aegon didn't do it."

"Do you really hate my brothers that much?" Daelys asks, her voice losing all it's warmth.

Aemond realises his mistake and sits up. "That's not how I meant it." He says. "I meant I can deal with this things if my own brother didn't do it."

Daelys sighs. They don't say anything else and Daelys keeps playing with Aemond hair. A scream suddenly cuts through the silence. Daelys' face immediately goes pale. She has heard it two times before and just like those times, this time isn't easy either.

Aemond knows what it means and he gets up and takes Daelys' hand. "Come." He says gently. Daelys doesn't argue and follow him. They go out into the yard.

Seeing her pale face, Daelys' brothers, Jace and Luke run over to her. Aegon also follows close behind.

"What is it, sister?" Jace asks.

Daelys is still too pale to answer. "It's your mother." Aemond answers for her.

"Looks like the Princess has forgotten how to talk." Aegon remarks quietly. But unfortunately for him Aemond hears it.

He lunges for him and starts to punch him. Jace and Luke try to get Aemond away from Aegon but fail.

"Sister, stop him." Her brothers pleaded with her.

When she notices Viserys looking at them, she steps towards Aemond and gently places her hands on his shoulders. He looks around and spots Daelys with her hands on his shoulders. Daelys quickly takes his hands and pulls him away from Aegon.

"That's enough, Aemond." She says softly but firmly. Aemond nods and hangs his head. She turns to her brothers. "Get Aegon to the maesters."

They quickly do as they are told. After that Jace and Luke wait with Daelys and Aemond for the news to come. Soon Ser Harwin makes his way to them, a big smile on his face.

"Princess Rhaenyra has given birth to a healthy prince." He informs them.

Daelys' brothers celebrate the birth of their new brother but somehow Daelys wasn't all that excited. And Aemond notices this.

"Is something wrong?" Aemond whispers to Daelys.

"I wanted a sister." Daelys answers. "A sister of my own."

Ser Harwin turns to Daelys. "The princess wishes to speak to you alone." He informs her.

Daelys nods and follows Harwin to her mother's room. On entering she immediately notices the absence of her father. She sighs and makes her way to her mother.

"How are you feeling?" She asks, plastering a smile on her face and taking her mother's hand.

"Better now that you are here." Rhaenyra answers, giving a small smile. Daelys gently runs her hand through her mother's hair.
