"What does it mean that the Queen's Guard stood down?" Dyanna asks incredulously. "So I can't trust anyone outside the room?"
Daelys and Rhaenys exchange a look. "No. We have to consider all those not in the Throne Room last night are loyal to my mother." Daelys answers. "My mother and your uncle conspired together to remove you so that Tyland could get the seat of Casterly Rock."
"She will then have all the wealth of Casterly Rock." Dyanna says in realisation. "She can hire soldiers without any worries."
"Exactly." Rhaenys says. "But as long as you are safe, she cannot have House Lannister's wealth."
"What happens once she gets back?" Dyanna asks.
"You will be safe." Daelys reassures. "You and Helaena will be my personal friends. You are to stay with me at all times and if I leave King's Landing, you are to come with me."
Dyanna stays quiet thinking about it. "That seems to be my only option."
"Good." Daelys says before walking out of the room with Rhaenys. Outside Joffrey is pacing around. He approaches them as soon as they step out of the room. "She hasn't recovered from last nights events yet. Offer her your support and help her." Daelys orders Joffrey.
"Okay." Joffrey says nervously before straightening his clothes and walking to the room.
"Your plan for Joffrey and Dyanna works." Rhaenys observes.
"Hmm." Daelys says thoughtfully.
"What?" Rhaenys asks almost tiredly.
"I am just wondering how far Rhaenyra is willing to go to keep her throne." Daelys tells Rhaenys.
Rhaenys thinks about it for a few seconds. "Do you know from when the shift in Rhaenyra's... affections occurred? As in from when she stopped preferring you?"
Daelys thinks about the answer. "Ever since I married Aemond." Daelys answers.
"Hmm." Rhaenys says satisfactorily. "So from the moment she lost sight of you, her affections changed from you to Jace. I wonder why."
"You think Jace had something to do with it?" Daelys asks incredulously.
"Do you think he isn't capable of doing it?" Rhaenys asks.
"Of course I think he is capable." Daelys says immediately. "I just always thought that Rhaenyra changed her affections because she saw Aemond and me together as a threat."
"Who gave her the idea?" Rhaenys asks darkly. Daelys purses her lips not answering. "Good, you know. Now I will be making plans for my journey to Winterfell. If there are any more... developments let me know."
"Of course." Daelys watches as Rhaenys leaves.
Almost as soon as Rhaenys is gone, Daena runs over to Daelys. "Mummy, Mummy, come play with me." She says tugging on Daelys' hand.
"I am sorry, your Grace. I tried to stop her." Jaehaerys says catching up to them. "Let's go, Dae."
Daelys' head shoots up to look at Jaehaerys. "What did you call her, Jae?" She asks softly.
"Dae." Jaehaerys replies simply as if the word is nothing but a simple nickname. But to Daelys the word means everything. Jaehaerys turns to Daena. "Let's go."
"It's alright, Jae." Daelys says softly. "It's perfectly fine for Daena to want to play with me. And I will be more than happy to do so."
"Yay!" Daena cheers making Daelys smile and Jaehaerys chuckle. "Let's go." She grabs both Daelys and Jaehaerys' hands and drags them with her to play.
