The next morning, Daemon and Jace arrive. While Daemon makes sure that Daelys is alright, Jace simply greets his sister

Daelys' marriage to Aemond and the news of her carrying a child so soon after her marriage, had estranged Daelys and Jace. So it was a surprise to everyone that he came.

"It is good to see you well, sister." Jace says when they are being led to see the new princess.

"Thank you, brother." Daelys replies, smiling sweetly. Aemond and Daemon, both, look at Daelys trying to understand whether she is really being friendly or just acting.

When they reach the room, Daelys takes Daena up in her arms. "Would you like to hold her?" She asks Daemon.

He looks unsure but takes Daena in his arms perfectly. Daemon smiles as he looks at his granddaughter. Daelys smiles a little while watching the scene.

She is so busy with watching Daemon with Daena that she misses how Jace looks at the girl and Aemond. It is clear that he absolutely loathes anyone and anything related to Aemond.

"What do we know about the intruders?" Daemon questions Aemond in the middle of the night after everyone has gone to sleep.

"Just that their tongues are cut." Aemond replies leading Daemon to the dungeons. "Has Daelys told you anything?"

"Just that she has heard Larys Strong does that to his servents." Daemon tells him as they enter the dungeons.

Aemond leads Daemon to the cell where the two intruders are being kept. Daemon takes his time observing them. He opens the door and steps inside the cell. Aemond doesn't do anything. He simply stands outside and doesn't even look to see what is happening inside the cell. He is afraid that he will kill them both if he looks inside.

"Get inside here." Daemon commands as the intruders cower before him.

"I might kill them." Aemond informs before stepping inside the cell.

"Which one of them fired the arrow?" Daemon asks ignoring Aemond.

"That one." Aemond points without looking at the man.

Daemon observes him cowering for a few seconds before grabbing him and dragging him out of the cell. Aemond, confused, observes what Daemon is doing.

In every dungeon, there are poles set a few feet away. On top of the pole, rods are attached at different heights.

Daemon drags the man to the nearest pole. Aemond, smirking a little, fetches a rope and hands it to Daemon before he can even ask. Daemon nods once and gets to work tying the man's hands.

By the time he is done, the man is whimpering unable to say anything. "Where is everything kept?" He asks Aemond.

"Where they have always been kept." Aemond answers, his smirk growing wider. He is going to enjoy this very much. Even if he can't participate, he will enjoy watching Daemon and hearing the man scream.

Daemon returns with a whip in his hand. The whip has an extremely thin length of rope attached to it. Aemond can tell how much this will hurt.

"Go and take whatever you like." Daemon tells Aemond.

"I have what I need right here." Aemond answers taking his knife out.

The man shrinks back even more as his whimpering increases in volume. "You should have thought of this before agreeing to attack your princess!" Daemon spats at the man. "How much did Daelys scream in pain?" Daemon asks turning his head.
