Greggy's point of view
"In sickness and health, till death do us part."
"Greg are you ok?" Tanong saakin ng asawa ko.
"Of course" matipid kong sabi.
"Are you sure? Nakikita ko, parang there is something wrong with you, masama ba ang pakiramdam mo? Something bothering you?" she asked.
"Ok, but if may problema, tell me ok" she said and I nodded.
Gia's point of view
"Ano nanaman?" I asked.
"Just listen to me, yung mga sinabi ko sayo-"
"No" he said.
"Alam mo David, you wouldn't like to be with me kapag nalaman mo kung sino ako" sabi ko at akmang aalis na.
"Bakit? Ano bang hindi ko pa alam?" Tanong nya.
"Anak ako ni tita Irene, Marcos ako, and you wouldn't want to be with a Marcos right?" Tanong ko.
"Who cares!? I fell inlove with you, not with your image or your surname, not where you came from" he said and held my hands.
"You don't know what your saying" sabi ko.
"I do, and if you just give me a chance, I'll prove to you that I love you, hindi ko alam kung pano, bakit, sa dinami daming babaeng kilala ko at pinakilala sakin ikaw ang nagustuhan ko" sabi nito.
"David, naguguluhan pa ako, lahat ng to' bago saakin, if assurance ang hinihingi mo then I cannot give that sayo" sabi ko at bumitaw sa pagkakahawak nga saakin.
"Just think about it please, ako lang naman ang nag hihintay sayo" he said at tsaka naglabas ng singsing.
"No no no" sabi ko.
My phone started ringing so I immediately picked it up.
On the phone
"Hello?" Tanong ko.
"Gi, nasa st.
"Ha!? Sige sige I'll be there!" Sabi ko.
Phone call ended.
"Ano nangyari?"
Fast forward
Irene's point of view"Greggy has stage 2 bone marrow cancer, a lot of percentage shows na nakuha nya yung sakit from his dad, ang actually on his recent physical and mental check up nag s-show ng sign of minor memory loss that can lead to Alzheimer's disease, kung hindi mag aagarang treatment, in a blink of an eye Mrs. Araneta, pwedeng mawala ang asawa mo" sabi saakin ni Juancho.
I cried in my son's arms, I didn't know what to do.
Gia arrived, and immediately asked Juancho how her dad is doing.
"Is there any cure? Transplant?" Tanong nya.
"Possible, but we need to find a donor immediately" sabi ni Juancho.
Fast forward
It's been a week, and dad is still here sa hospital, it breaks me down seeing him like this, kuya Alfy is preparing for the operation since he's the most compatible kay daddy.
"I still need you a lot, ngayon palang tayo nagkakasama so please, wag mo na muna ako iwanan, hindi ko alam kung paano ako, the doctors told me you're body is slowly deteriorating, and it breaks ny heart knowing that, daddy please I know you can hear me, please fight for me, fight for us" sabi ko.
The door swang open revealing kuya Luis.
"Gi, how's dad?
"He's fine, kaso nga as days pass by lalong humihina ang katawan nya, he even loss so much weight" sabi ko at bigla akong niyakap ni kuya Luis.
"Dad will be fine, hindi ka nyan makakayang iwan lalo na't ngayon lang uli kayo nagkakasama" sabi ni kuya.
"Yes, sinabi ko yun sakanya, he needs to be strong for us, lalo na para kay mommy" sabi ko.
Fast forward
"Doc, kamusta po vitals ni daddy?" Tanong ko.
Si kuya Luis ang naiwan sa loob na nagbabantay kay daddy, lumabas muna akk to talk with doc Juancho and buy a few essentials.
"Well, wala masyadong improvement, I just wanna let you know na hindi 100% sure na mac-cure ang dad mo once naisagawa na ang transplant, let's just hope and pray na sana kahit papano it will go well and magiging maayos ang lagay ng dad mo, sinabihan ko na ang kapatid mo na si Alfonso to get ready, if not this week, next week isasagawa ang procedure" sabi saakin ni doc Juancho.
I opened the door and saw him awake
"Dad!" Sabi ko at agad lumapit sakanya.
"Kuya Luis, patawag si doc Juancho please" sabi ko and he nodded and made his way out.
"Dad, how are you feeling?" I asked.
"I feel ok, si m-mommy mo?" Tanong nito.
"Nasa bahay sya dad, nagpapahinga, she's been too exhausted with everything lately" sabi ko at agad na pumasok si doc Juancho.
Fast forward
Irene's point of view"Kaya magpagaling ka please hun?"
