Shantnu's POV
"Whattttttt!" i shouted being absolutely shocked about the fact that my father decided to get me married to a so called beautiful princess and that also without my knowledge!
"No this can't happen!" I said and walked out from my chamber towards my father's chamber quickly.
"Babasa!" I said angrily.
"Oh my son, i was thinking about you only,but you didn't wish me today?" He asked knowing the fact that I'm angry with him, he always does this to avoid my anger but not today.
"Pranam babasa" i said adjoining my hand.
"Pranam, how are you?" He asked smiling at me making my anger increased, but i can't disrespect him, so i answerd.
"I'm not good babasa" i said.
"Why?" He asked knowingly.
"Because you fixed my marriage without my knowledge" i said controlling myself.
"Hahaha, that's all" He laughed, making me more angry.
Enough, enough now!
"What are you saying babasa?! Is this a small thing! You fixed my marriage with an unknown girl?!" I shouted.
"She is not an unknown girl shantanu! She is one of the most intelligent and beautiful woman in whole Hindustan,a perfect match for you, a good to be upcoming queen for this empire!" He said.
"But why don't you understand that i don't want to get married?!" I said.
"Whyyy?!" He shouted.
"You know the reason!" I shouted in equal strength.
"No, i don't!"
"You know" i said in a serious tone.
"If the reason is related to your mother's past, then you have to marry Mayuri" He said coming a little closer to me.
"No, i will not" i said and about to go from there, but he held my wrist tightly and said, "You have to marry her!"
"No i will never!" I said making his grip loosened from my wrist, and i started walking away.
"What is the reason?!" He shouted from behind.
"Because I love Dhairvi!" I said in anger and was about to go but he said.
"You have to marry Mayuri and that's my, King Pratap Singh Rajput's order! And tomorrow we are going to depart for Udaygarh, i have sent invetation to all our close empires" He said and and without looking at him i walked out.
Urghhhhhhhhhh! I hate this! I totally hate thissss! No i won't let this marriage happen, i have to do something.
Sitting on the couch and pouring wine in my glass, i drank it. Once, twice, thrice, again and again, losing the counts, that intoxication made me relax a little bit.
"Bhai saheb!" My brother madhav called me, but i was so much high that i didn't replied to him.
"Bhai-sa, what are you doing?!" He took the glass from me.
"Give- givee me backk!" I shouted and tried to take glass from him but he threw it on the floor.
"How fucking dare you!" I holded his collar.
"Bhaisa please leave me" he said struggling for breath. I pushed him hardly and the papers he was holding were flew in the wind.
I sat on the couch and started breathing in and out to calm my anger. Realising what I have just done now.
"I'm really sorry madhav" i said feeling guilty about it.
"It's okay bhaisa, i can understand you" he said and collected all the papers which were thrown away by me, organising them.
"What are these?" I asked him.
"These are the documents of importing and exporting trade, soon you will be the king of Jaipur, so babasa has decided to give you the whole business,not only in Hindustan but other countries too,now you will handle it" he said showing me the papers.
Not have much energy to say anything, i nodded. And then signed the papers.
"Thank you bhaisa" he smiled at me.
He put the papers aside on the table.
"Bhai saheb I know you are very angry right now, but i think you should get married now, you are soon going to be a king and now this empire needs her queen, you know right,Maasa's health is not good" he said with tears in his eyes.
"I know but I'm capable of handling the whole empire by myself, it's not like i have to marry someone to be a good king. I have faith in myself and that's enough" i said looking at him.
"I know you are, but you need a life partner to understand you, to care for you and also this empire needs their hires also"
"You are there after me you can handle the whole empire"
"What are you saying bhai-sa, I'm not good at handling responsibilities and babasa also don't want that i rule on this empire" he said looking down.
"And what made you think like this?" I said lifting my one eyebrow.
"Nothing" he smiled a little.
"But i think you should get married to princess Mayuri, she is perfect for you"
"I don't understand why everyone is telling me to get married to her, why doesn't anyone understand my situation! I can't love her! You also know the reason! Then why are you asking me to do so?" I said angrily, I'm just so tired of this sh*t.
"It's not like that Bhai sa, everybody cares for you" he said, tense lines formed on his forehead.
"Get out!" I said, finally letting my tears flow.
"Bhai sa, don't cry please" he sat on his knees.
"I said get out i don't want to talk to anyone, just leave me alone!"
"Jii, bhai-sa. But please marry her for maasa" he said and went out.
We will depart for Udaygarh tomorrow, i have to do something to stop this marriage. But i can't disobey king's order, i think I should talk to the princess about it. Because of me i can't ruin her life.
