Mayuri's POV
"Uhmm" We both looked at the direction where the sound came from.
"Sudha" I whispered and quickly stood up.
"Princess, you should go to badi maasa's chamber or... " She stopped and looked down. I nodded and she moved out of there.
I looked at Prince and sighed. We both quickly ran towards the chamber. He held my hand and took me from various of shortcuts.
'This is so fun!'
We reached inside the chamber. I sat on the couch and we both were struggling for our breaths. He laid on the couch putting his head on my lap. I closed my eyes and relaxed myself. Suddenly we heard the footsteps coming closer to us. We both looked at the direction and I saw my brother entering the chamber!
He sat up quickly and we looked at each other with fear. I shivered. Not in fear but because of the cold water. There was still some paint left on his face, neck, body.
He stood up and moved towards the dressing area silently. My brother was so busy in his thought that he didn't even noticed him. His knee got collide with the table and he stumbled a little bit. I quickly walked towards him and held his arm.
"Are you okay?" I asked and he looked at me.
"Yeah... Umm" He said and stood properly.
"What happened?" I asked suspiciously.
"Nothing-" He said and I interrupted in between.
"Tell me" I said and glared at him. I knew he was hiding something.
"First you tell me why are you all wet and why there is red paint on your face?" The tables turned out and now I'm all doomed!
"Well- Umm.. " He scrunched his eyebrows and looked at me with serious face. I gulped.
"Baana-sa?" Here comes my saviour!
"Oh prince" He left me and moved towards him. I turned around and looked both of them.
"What happened?" Prince asked.
"Nothing, I was just asking her that why her clothes were wet ans what is that red paint on her face" Prince looked at me and slightly smirked but he soon turned his face sad. He sighed and looked at him.
"What happened?" Bhai-sa asked.
"Kaise bataye aapko?" He looked down. I scrunched my eyebrows and listened carefully.
"Batayiye na? Agar koi baat ho toh" He looked at me with concern.
"Inhe neend mai chalne ki aadat hai aur neend mai chalti chalti paani mai gir gayi.." He whispered. I couldn't understand it. My brother looked at me with disappointed face.
"Hum aapko samjh sakte hai..." I looked at him with confusion.
'What are they talking about?!'
"What are you two talking about?" I moved towards them.
"Nothing- Nothing" They both laughed awkwardly. I nodded and moved towards the dressing room.
I heard them whispering something behind my back. I turned around and they both become quite. I glared at them.
"Mayuri, I and Prince Mayur are at the garden area. You can come outside after you change. Is that okay?" He asked. I nodded.
They both were about to go outside but an attendee came. She was coughing badly. I came closer towards her.
"Are you okay?" I asked her with concern.
"Princess- Princ- Outside..." She was scared as hell.
"What happened?" Prince asked.
"Outside... Sudha" She was trembling. And as I heard Sudha's name I got so scared.
"What happened to her?!" I asked.
"She has been murdered!" She said.
'What...'
Both the men ran outside immediately. And I... I just sat down quietly. What just I heard now. It is a dream right? My friend... My best friend. How come she be... She was fine a few moments ago and now? What happened so suddenly?
"Princess..." Dhairvi came inside.
I looked at her with my crying face. She hugged me tightly."Shh.. Don't cry princess" She said.
"How it happened?" I asked her. She gulped and replied.
"I don't know princess. I was with choti maa- I mean choti ranisa. And then I got to know about it." She said. I nodded.
"I want to go outside" I said.
"No. You can't go outside Princess." She said clearly.
"But I want to!" I shouted.
"You can't Princess. The Queen has denied. It's dangerous outside." She said.
"But I want to! She is my friend!" I cried.
"I'm sorry. It's an order." She said and looked down.
"There are soldiers at the door of your chamber to protect you." She continued.
What can I do now. I can't even go outside. There is nothing in my hand!
I looked at the vase and threw it because of the frustration.
"Princess!" Dhairvi shouted.
"You can't be weak right. You are not a child anymore. You have to understand it and accept it! Life is all about it. The one who has came on earth have to go someday." I looked at her with my red and swelled eyes.
"You have not experienced this. That's why it is easy to say." I said with my trembling voice.
"Yes. You are right. But I have experienced it's worst." She said and I scrunched my eyebrows. I was about to ask her but she interrupted in between.
"Your clothes are wet. If you will stay like this for few more hours. You will definitely gonna have fever. I think you should change. Come let me help you." She said wiping her tears.
I followed what she said as I have no appetite to fight or shout on someone. My heart is aching very badly. It feels like somebody had stabbed my heart with a sharp knife. Only the good memories of us were flashing back to back in my mind.
Dhairvi helped me to dress up in light lehenga. I removed all my jewellery except those which are necessary for a newely married woman. She made me laid on the bed and sat beside me. She said some good words to me, to relax me, to feel safe. I don't know when she stopped talking and slept. But there was no sleep inside my eyes. Soon the dark night turned into a morning. Sunrays fallen on my face. But it didn't bother me much.
I heard footsteps walking towards me. I quickly stood up. And part away the curtains. I looked at my man and walked towards him. I hugged him tightly and he patted my head. I cried in his arms until I was relaxed. And he never me left me. I broke the hug and looked at him.
"Pack the bags, You are going to Udaygarh" He said.
