35~ Predicting the Future

Mayuri's POV

"I want to talk about Prince Mayur" She said. I nodded listening to her carefully.

"Umm whatever happened today was just an incident it was nothing else" She said while looking down.

"I know, you don't need to be worried" I said with a smile. She took a deep breath and nodded back with a smile.

"And I have to tell you something important" She said.

"Yes" I said.

"That day when Sudha was murde- murdered" She said with trembling voice.

"Yes" I said listening carefully to her.

"When I was coming to your chamber I saw a man running away" She said and I looked at her shockingly.

"Why didn't you told me before" I held her arms lightly.

"He was looking just like those men whom you told us about" She said.

"You should have told me before Dhairvi!" I said with utter pain in my heart.

"I- I know princess but you were not in well condition. So I thought to hide it from you and from Shan- Shantnu" She said with tears in her eyes. I palmed my face and sat quietly.

"I- I know I should have told this before but it could have caused the chaos in kingdom" She said and cried.

"I'm so sorry princess" She put her hand on my shoulder.

"How was he looking and did you followed him when he ran away?" I asked her and she thought for a while.

"He wore black clothes and his half face was also covered with black scarf" She said and continued.

"I tried to follow him but I don't know when he got disappear" She said.

"He got disappear?!" I said. How was that possible.

"Yes he got disappear suddenly" She said. I nodded and bit my lips slightly.

"From where he got disappear?" I asked.

"From the gallery where badi rani's chamber is" She said and I looked at her with utter shock.

"What..." I said and she nodded quickly.

"How is that possible?! There are many soldiers and attendees around there? How could he disappear so suddenly?!" I said. My heartbeats are racing so fast, even my breath was trembling. It could be dangerous out there!

"I- I don't know. I also got so scared." She said.

"You should have told me before Princess" I looked at her with disappointment.

"I know princess and I'm so sorry about it" She said, tears were flowing from her eyes.

"Don't cry please" I said and a lone tear escaped from my eye.

"It's okay" I said and hugged her. She hugged me back. I broke the hug and she looked at me.

"That means the killer knows our palace very well and he is one of the Royal Palace" I said.

"We should make a plan princess" Dhairvi said.

"Yes" I said.

"But it's very late now. I think you should sleep, Must be tired of long journey." I said and she nodded.

She stood up wishing me a good night. I plastered a small smile on my face. She left and I sat on the bed. I was thinking about the incident deeply. The way Dhairvi told me about the man. How come someone disappear so suddenly and that also in the gallery of one chamber. There must be a secret way! What must be going in the Kingdom! Several of thoughts were running up in my mind.My eyes started feeling heavy and I soon closed them.

I opened my eyes when someone was calling out my name. I touched my neck slightly.

Oh fuck...

"Is your neck hurting?" Isha asked me I nodded.

"Dumb you slept while sitting?!" She said and laughed. I glared at her.

"Why you called me out?" I asked her.

"Prince Madhav is departing for Jaipur" She said and I nodded.

"Yes, I must get ready" I said and stood up.

"Ahh it hurts" I said. The pain was too much.

"I think the first work I should do is to send you an attendee to massage your neck" She said in a taunting way.

"Yes please" I said not able to tilt my neck even slightly.

She nodded and moved out of chamber. I also started doing my morning business.

Soon I got ready and an attendee came to massage my neck. She massaged it with light hands. I smiled remembering that sweet memory of us on the first day of my marriage. I blushed slightly.

"Hmm remembering him?" An old attendee asked. She was really close to me. I looked at her quickly and make a straight face. I shook my head with embarrassment.

"Ah No-No" I said with an awkward smile.

"Princess you can't hide love by hiding it" She said with a smile. I nodded with a slight blush on my face and looked down.

"The love is clearly visible on your face and especially in your eyes" She said while massaging my neck.

I quickly looked at mirror, my nose became light red due to embarrassment and my face was flushed. I tilt my neck slightly so that she could massage it easily.

"And the successful marriage of yours could be seen" She continued while looking at the light mark of the love bite. I blushed and said.

"I'm very lucky Jiji sa"

"Yes for sure" She said with a genuine smile on her face.

Suddenly an idea popped up in my mind!

"Jiji-sa can you please check my palm?!" I said with an excitement. She was an astrologer, not exactly but yes. Whatever she tells comes to be true. I looked at her with hope in my eyes that she would say yes.

"Okay" She said and I got excited. I quickly brought my hand towards her. She hold my palm and looked at it carefully. I was quietly sitting noticing her expression and to be honest it was not good. My heart beats were racing fastly. I gulped.

"What is it?" I asked. She looked at me with tensed line on her forehead.

"Something is bad going to happen" She said. My heart skips a beat listening to her.

"All the lives will be destroyed. Someone close, Will betray you! You will be left heart broken. Only one can stop this Mayuri! Only you can stop this! Stop those evil people to win against you! Save your relationship Mayuri! Only you can do it." She said while holding my arms. My breath hitched listening to her. Sweat formed on my forehead and I quickly stood up.

"What-What are you saying?" I asked. My body was trembling.

"Yes Princess. I am saying right." She said with a plain voice.

"What will happen?" I asked.

"I don't know... But maybe..." She stopped in between.

"What?!" I asked.

"A war..." She said.
