49~ The Real Queen

Mayuri's POV

"Oh so you all are here" Suddenly a dark-heavy voice came from behind. We all turned to look at the man who was standing there with the rope tied to the horse in his hand.

"Isha take her with you quickly! I will handle them." Prince Ridhan whispered.

"But... I can't leave you alone" Isha held Prince Ridhan's hand. He looked at her softly. Suddenly I noticed Isha, she was wearing a beautiful nuptial chain and vermilion. I gasped.

They were having a beautiful eye contact until that man interrupted.

"Hey ever-" It doesn't took Prince Ridhan a few seconds to slice his head with a sharp sword.

"Now" Prince Ridhan ordered her. She nodded without arguing and held my wrist. Today I'm seeing different Isha. Back then she was really stubborn.

"Come Mayuri" Isha said and dragged me with her. She helped me to wrap one of the baby close to my chest, with the help of cloth. She also wrapped the other baby, but behind her back. It was secure as I will sat behind her,on the horse.

She held the rope of horse and firmed the grip. The horse neighed and ran very fast. Isha was handling him with ease. She was very calm. I have never seen her like before, she feared horses since childhood, never even sat on it for once, but the change was making me shocked.

She was making the way by tearing apart the huge bushes. The forest was so dense that I couldn't even recognise the ways. But soon we came out of it.

"They are there!" Suddenly I looked behind and saw some men chasing us. Isha fasten up the speed of horse.

"Isha" I whispered in fear.

"Don't worry Mayuri, we are close!" Isha said and told me to held on her. I did what she said and closed my eyes tightly.

"He is coming" She whispered. There was a hidden joy in her voice which I could sense easily.

The voice of the horses chasing us from behind stopped coming. I opened my eyes and saw the Kingdom. The Kingdom which I never wanted to see in my life! I gulped and held my children. The fear of losing them was eating me up.

We tried to entered in the Kingdom but the soldiers tried to stop us. Isha took out her sword from one hand and wounded them. We entered in the Kingdom successfully.

"Mayuri get up quickly! We have to reach inside the court!" And as soon as I heard the name of court, flashbacks visioned my eyes. I gulped.

"Mayuri! Quickly!" Isha said making me come out of my thoughts. I quickly got down from the horse.

"Mayuri! You have to do it! Teach them who you are and how to treat a woman. You are the real Queen of this Kingdom. Fight for your right! Go!" Isha said.

"I can't-" I said. My hands were trembling with fear.

"You have to, you don't have any option. You have to save your husband, your Kingdom Mayuri! Go!" She said. Suddenly we both heard the ringing of the bells of temple.

"See, Maa Durga also wants you to fight. Take her blessing and punish that bastard!" She said. It was still raining, to not let my children catch the cold, I moved towards the temple, taking my other baby from Isha, I halted my steps. In these nine months, I had not even put a step on the boundary of the temple. But today, it feels like the goddess is calling me.

I climbed the stairs slowly. Isha was following me from behind. Both the babies who were crying a few minutes ago, became silent. The storm which was inside me was becoming calm, the fear which was inside me was slowly disappearing from my heart.
