Mayuri's POV
I stepped my foot on the ground of Jaipur's kingdom. The weather was becoming atrocious. It took me two days to come here. They were the most difficult days of my life. I do not even ate or drink anything since I left Udaygarh. Not even slept properly.
I reached at the main entrance of the kingdom. Both the soldiers looked at each other and then looked at me.
"You can't go inside" One of the soldier said.
"But I want t-" My head started spinning suddenly. No words came out of my mouth. I gulped and tried to adjust my eyes. But soon I fell on the ground, getting unconscious again.
.....
I opened my eyes softly. The chamber was dark, The bed was covered with the curtains around. It feels suffocating here, I gulped and quickly sat. I soon put my hand on my head.
"Ahh" I moaned in pain. Suddenly I heard someone's footsteps. I gulped and opened the curtain a little bit, peeking outside.
Choti Maasa...
I opened the curtain and she looked at me instantly. She halted her footsteps towards me and sat on the couch beside the bed.
She caressed my cheeks lightly and I couldn't hold myself any more. I quickly hugged her and started crying in pain.
"Maasa... What happened so suddenly... What i- is going on.. What di- did I do, that God is punishing me so bad- badly" I cried in her arms. She patted my back.
"Shhh Mayuri, Calm. Everything will be fine." She said. Her voice was also sounding heavy, as if she was trying to control herself too from crying.
"How Maasa... How!" I screamed in frustration. She broke the hug immediately and cupped my cheeks. She wiped my tears and kissed on my forehead.
"First be silent and eat the food" She looked at the attendee who was standing with a plate in her hand. The attendee came near her, Maasa took the plate in her hand and tore a bite. She brought her hand forward, near my mouth. I shook my head slightly, denying to eat. I moved my head to other side.
"He will be there in an hour. If you want to meet him than eat the food. The message is given by your husband." I quickly looked at her and she nodded with a small smile. She again forward her hand towards my mouth and I ate it.
"Maasa.. I'll eat by my own" I said almost in an inaudible tone.
"No, I will feed you" She said softly. Not having appetite to argue with her, I nodded. Soon she feed me two rotis with a sweet ghevar. It's my favorite sweet dish. She was about to told an attendee to bring more roti but I denied to eat.
"Maasa I'm full" I said.
"No you are not" She said. I shook my head.
"Yes I'm. I really don't want to eat anything." I insisted her. She sighed and nodded.
"Okay but now go and take a bath. You will feel fresh and relaxed." She said and I nodded. To be honest I don't want her to go.
She helped me in standing up and brought me to the bathing area. I was really tired. Not only physically but mentally too. The negative thoughts roaming in my mind distress me.
The small water pool was already ready. Few attendees came inside the chamber.
"Massage her properly and get her beautifully done. She is soon to be the queen of Jaipur." She said and a wave of relief felt in my heart. She still considers me her daughter-in-law.
