44~ He got to know

Shantanu's POV

"We wonnn!" I shouted with a victory of joy! Chaos created on the ground when they heard me, The soldiers of my kingdom hailed my name. I closed my eyes breathing deeply and looked at the death body of the King of Bahadurgarh. Her mama-sa.

By the time, sun also sets. An attendee came near me and asked me to take a bath. I nodded and moved towards a small bathing area which was made by a few attendees.

There I saw two buckets of water and some haldi paste on the ground. I took a bucket of water and poured over my head. The water was cold, it makes me feel relaxed but still the smell of blood was left on my body. I sighed and took some haldi paste applying on my naked chest, stomach, arms and neck. I sat down and washed it with water. After that I washed my face too. My beard and hairs are grown alot. I changed my loincloth and put a shawl over my body. I got out of the bathing area.

It's been two months since I saw her...

A lone tear escaped from my eyes. I saw several of death bodies lying every where on the ground of war. I sighed and looked down.

I don't know how many truths are hidden from me. I'm not fighting for my father to take revenge for his bad deeds done to Bahadurgarh, but I'm fighting for my brother who is laying on the death bed.

I already thought that once, this war get over, I will go to Udaygarh to apologize my love. It feels like she was gone far away from me. Even having a thought about it makes me feel the fire of hell. But I believe that she will understand me, my pain, my love for my little brother. I know I had given her a scar too, and it was much painful for her than me but I promised myself to not harm her brother and father, even if they attack me. I know that's not enough, but I don't have any option left.

After our last meeting, I didn't even met anyone. I don't like anyone's presence around me, rather than her's. Only her. I have to depart on that day only because of the urgent work related to the war. Since that and till now, I was far away from Jaipur. I will put the step on the boundary of the kingdom only when I will bring my queen with me. I moved inside the tent and told an attendee to pack my clothes up.

I don't know how am I gonna face her. She will hate me for sure. I have done injustice to her. I know the war should not be held against Udaygarh but what can I do, when it was a King's order and that's what makes me bounded with his orders. I promised my mother to accept whatever the King of the Kingdom says, but not my father. And now he can never control me, he could never stop me to meet my love. I will go to Udaygarh and that's my final decision.

"Where are you going?" I looked at Ridhan who was standing near the door.

A soldier came up to him and held his arm. I stopped him by showing my hand. He got a little backward and bowed in front of me. After that he moved out of there. I told that attendee too, to leave us alone.

"I was going to Uday-" A hard punch landed on my face. He held my neck tightly and pushed me on the mattress. I held his hand and looked in his eyes with confusion.

"What- What are you do- doing?" I asked him. I couldn't even breath properly. I quickly hit his stomach with my leg. He fell on the ground and I quickly sat up taking deep breaths.

"Why you ordered the soldiers that nobody is allowed to meet you!" He asked me with anger and stood up.

"Because I did not want to!" I said and stood up too.

"You know what happened behind your backkk!" He screamed in anger.

"What happened, Is Madhav okay?" I asked with concern.

"You are still thinking about your brother? You know what, he is fit and fine! He can eat by own, can walk by own and can do anything which a normal and healthy person can do!" He said with anger in his voice.

I got confused because just a few days ago I got the news that he was not doing well at all.

"But I got the news that he is not fine..." I muttered.

"It was a biggggg lie you a*shole!" He spat.

"What.. Why would they hide it from me?" I asked.

"Because they didn't want you to come to Jaipur! Because they didn't want you to know, that what they did with your wife!" He said. And when he mentioned her name, My heartbeats raced fastly. What they did to her, what my bastard father did to her?!

"Wha- what they did?" I asked collecting my courage. He came closer to me. His eyes become teary. I have never seen tears in his eyes. This was the first time I saw the pain in his eyes. My soul was trembling very badly. Sweats formed on my forehead.

"Your father insulted her before everyone" He said calmly and continued.

"Have you signed any agreement made with Amsar?" He asked. I shook my head.

"I have never signed any agreement with them. Why would I? It is just a small village, what can I get from it?" I asked.

"What can I? You are getting married to the daughter of head panchayat." He said.

"Whattt the fu*k are you saying?!" I said in anger.

"I'm saying truth, you have even signed the papers" He said looking at me with his intense sharp gaze.

"No, I have never signed such agreement!" I said in anger.

"You know what, Bhabhi-sa was so hurt by this act of yours" He said with sympathy in hia eyes.

"Where is she now?" I asked while holding his shoulder.

"I don't know, Infact we all don't know," he said.

"Your father and that bastard had insulted her alot infront of all court."

"Whattt! Tell me everything" I said. Anger was rushing in my veins.

He started telling me from start to end that how they hurted and insulted my Mayuri in. How much pain she has beared just for me and here I'm, far away from her. I should be with her...I must find her at any cost!

"Even she was dismissed from Udaygarh too." He said and my heart broke into pieces

"Why..." I asked. My heart was aching badly. What I have done! Why I have done this!
I'm such a bad husband!

"Because she chose you over her family" he said. And now I realised that what I have done in anger. I wanted the revenge from Bahadurgarh but in consideration I destroyed my life! My love! My everything!

I kneeled down. Tears left my eyes.

"Go find her" He said.

"Prince, The King called you for celebrating the win" An attendee came inside and said.

"I will find her, but before that I have some important work, which is necessary to be done" I said and looked at the attendee, he got scared and quickly moved out.

I took my sharp sword from the table.

"What are you going to do?" Ridhan asked.

"I don't know" I said and moved out of the tent.
