Chapter 3-The root of the problem

"Look for the light, huh that lights just seems to keep fading away Jack" Dominic said in a calm respectful tone. "If that's how it seems then your looking at your goal wrong speaking of goals what are yours now that you are back" Jack replied. "Hahaha hinting at something are you Jack?" Ty laughs as he looks at Jack and Dominic. Feeling the vibe in the room Dominic starts to laugh as Jack smiles. "Look this seems like a conversation that should take place over dinner you guys in" Dominic said in a collected tone. Both Ty and Jack nodded in agreement as they all left the vet clinic and Ty locked it up. 

Meanwhile a little way down the road from Heartland, "Hey so you and my brother, are you like dating now" Skye said as her and Georgie slowly rode back towards Heartland. "What I.. I don't know" Georgie said as her face went red and she picked up the pace on her phoenix. Upon arriving in the driveway Georgie saw Peter sitting there on the front step. Just as skye caught up to her Tim exited the house with a furious look upon his face. "We need to talk now, The audacity you have to talk to your wife like that." Tim began to shout. "What do you know, you were never there to raise your kids" Peter angrily yelled. "Don't you lecture me about my kids" Tim yells back as Lou walks out the front door getting into her car and driving away. Georgie walked past with the horses and Skye starts to follow when suddenly Peter sees her. "What are you doing here?" He yells "Woah don't you dare start attacking her that's wrong and you know it is" Tim yells distracting him, Skye quickly scatters to the barn and walks in doing her best to hide the tears from Georgie. "Hey I know when your hiding something, ignore my dad his emotions cloud his judgement besides we both are awesome together." Georgie said as she smiled at Skye. 

On the other hand Lou pulled into the driveway of the heart family ranch. "Hi sorry to barge in unannounced but is Dominic here." Lou asks. "Afraid not his out with Jack still but you look like you could do with a cup of tea and a friend" Hayley said inviting Lou in. She sat down as Hayley brang out the vintage teapot that she had been given as a wedding present from Stuart's parents. Pouring the tea Hayley could see Lou was stressed, "Whats going on?" Haley asked. "It's all a big mess, I had a disagreement with peter about Georgies love life and then him and my dad started going at it I just had to get out of there" Lou said feeling relief to just get it all out in the open. "Yeah I know how it feels to disagree on what is best for your child but if you're truly meant to be together than I believe you can work it out after all family is family" Hayley stated as she sipped from her cup. The two smiled at one another, "How are things going with Lily?" Lou asks as she finishes her cup of tea and begins eating the biscuits from the plate that is on the pure oak table. "Yeah your tips with potty training and naps were really helpful and made it a lot easier to manage things and of course Skye's been a big help since Stuart is not doing any work around the ranch still." Hayley responds as the front door opens and Stjuart walks in. 

"Hi honey, were you successful today" Hayley asks a she approaches her husband. "Indeed I was I will be starting Monday morning at 9am" Stuart responded as he sat down on the sofa to relax. "Oh that's very good where will you be working?" Lou asked letting the two know she's still there. "I'm going to be a Truck driver for Kingfisher." Stuart said as he smiled satisfied with his results. Hayley's face went from happy to sad as she did her best to distract herself from the thought. "I best be going after all it is getting Late" Lou said as she walked to the door. "Okay we have do this again sometime it was nice to have some company over" Hayley said as she opened the door and watched Lou walk to her car get in it and drive away. 

Arriving back at Heartland Lou went to Georgie's room to see if she was there upon entering she saw it was spotless and saw Georgie was upset on her bed. "Oh, Honey what's wrong?" Lou asked. "Peter got really mad at me and Skye because we were tending to the horses instead of cleaning the house, Skye then left and i'm worried about Dominic I think I am in love with him is that so wrong I saw the way peter reacted earlier." Georgie cried. "No it's not wrong and i'm going to talk to your dad trust me everything will work out the way it's meant to as for cleaning the whole house you didn't have too but it looks fantastic." Lou said before leaving Georgie's room to see peter in the living room working on his laptop. "Look I know we disagree but we need to let Georgie decide on what is best for her life and be supportive on whatever path she takes" Lou says as she watches the fireplace. Crack. "Well I.." Peter says in a serious tone. "Look I love you but If you can't get with the program then maybe we should spend some time apart. It's been a long day I'm going to bed" Lou says as she gives peter a serious yet seductive look. Peter takes a second to think before shutting down his laptop and following Lou to there bedroom for the night. "Tomorrow will be best I think" Georgie said as she looked and watched the sun begin to set.
