Chapter 9-Blessings

Georgie and Dominic are chilling on a log making out in the forest when a sudden loud buzzing noise goes of drawing their attention away from one another. "Oh darn I've got to help Mills move in we got to go" Dominic said untying WildFlowers reins from the tree and hoping onto his saddle. "Are you coming?" Dominic said as Georgie stared at him. "Oh yeah sorry you just look so sexy when your on a horse." Georgie said gazing at him in wonder. "Well come on" Dominic impatiently said. Georgie unfastened the reins of Phoenix and hopped on him then they began to walk back. "I'll race you Cowboy" Georgie said to Dominic as she took off. "Oh your on" Dominic said as he chased after her. Laughter spreaded it's way up the trail as Mills appeared at Heartland waiting. His eyes glanced to his watch more than anywhere else. Amy and ty exited the barn with smiles on their faces and walked over to Mills. "Oh hey it's you again is everything okay." Amy asked. "Oh hello the names mills i'm sorry if i'm in the way." Dominic is riding with Georgie he told me to meet him here his meant to be helping me move into my new place." Mills said. "Oh that's nice here they come now" Ty said. "What were you two doing" Amy said smiling while looking at the two. "Most likely the same as you two" Georgie laughed dismounting phoenix.

"Hey is it okay if wildflower stays here for a bit while I help out mills" Dominic asked. Georgie looked to Amy who nodded yes and she went and grabbed Wildflowers reigns as Dominic dismounted her. The two shared a passionate kiss before departing ways. Just as Mills and Dominic were about to drive off Peter quickly stops them. "Hey Dominic would you like to come to dinner at heartland tonight about six." Peter asked with a smile. "Sure I will be there" Dominic replied. Peter stepped away from the car as it drove off. "Wow I thought you said he didn't like you" Mills stated. "Yeah he didn't it was weird maybe he wants me to come to dinner to apologize or maybe he knows that I want to marry georgie." Dominic responded. "maybe his going to try and kill you with mind  games like in that film we watched at school" Mills Laughed as dominic joined in. "No but seriously are you going to ask for his blessing?" Mills asked. "Yeah I will ask both him and lou tonight." Dominic said. "Right we are here let's get this done" Mills said as he pulled into his new driveway at the same time as the moving truck parked by the curbstone. 

Meanwhile at Heartland Peter was sitting in the kitchen with Lou. "Oh honey I asked Dominic to dinner tonight so your going to need to set another place." Peter said taking a sip from his coffee. "Really, any particular reason for inviting him" Lou questioned. "Well his important to our daughter so we should get to know him on a deeper level wouldn't you agree" Peter stated. Jack returns and enters the kitchen to get a cup of coffee. "Hey Grandpa Dominic is coming for dinner tonight" Lou said as she began to wash the dishes and decide what to cook for the evening. "Oh I think that is a excellent idea he will be nice company" Jack said. 

While things were calm at Heartland on the other side of town Mills stood in amazement as he watched Dominic lift a entire tumble drier into the corner without even straining a muscle. "Whew anything else that is heavy?" Dominic asked. "Oh yeah the sofa bed has to be put in the spare room and then we need to build my actual bed and i'm not good with tools." Mills sighed. "Okay right you get one end of the sofabed and i'll get the other. Three, two, one and Lift." Dominic said as he lifted the bed with mills. moving it into the room Mills smiled as his house was coming together very nicely. "Okay uhhh what next" Mills asked. "I think the best thing to do is divide and conquer so if you get the smaller stuff in like the tv and a couple of tables and chairs and I am quite good with tools and will build the bed for you." Dominic said with a smile. "Yeah good sounds like a solid plan lets get to work" Mills said. Hours passed as bit by bit furniture appeared in it's designated spots all over the house as well as the bed being put together like clockwork. Once done the two sat down on the couch and smiled satisfied with their work. "Dude the dinner you got to go" Mills said pushing Dominic out of the door. 

He left and got a cab to the ranch. Thoughts of peter rejecting his question or banning him from seeing georgie raced through his head bu before he could go down the rabbit hole he arrived one minute before six and quickly walked to the house. Knocking on the door Dominic waited patiently as Jack came and opened the door. "Dominic hello your just in time come on in" Jack smiled. Entering the house it felt different like it was a completely new place even though he's been here before. His eyes fixated on the dinner table as he slowly made his way over to it. All of his anxiety vanished the second he saw georgies beautiful smile. "Take a seat sweetie next to Georgie" Lou said as she put a bowl full of pasta bolognese onto the table along with garlic bread. 

The family begin eating. "So Dominic you were at music school for two years what was it like?" Peter asked. "Well it was certainly busy and I had a lot of catching up to do as I started a bit late but overall I enjoyed it and learnt a lot of things that has helped me improve my voice." Dominic replied. "Yes you produced some albums right" Amy said. "Yes only a couple made some decent money" Dominic replied. "Any solid plans now that your home and settled?" Lou asked causing jack to suddenly swallow his food quickly and avoid eye contact. " Yeah I have some good solid ones" Dominic said as his eyes drifted to Georgie. Before they knew it all the food was gone and Peter started taking the dishes to the sink when Lou joined him and began to wash the dishes. Dominic quickly gathers everyone's plates and takes them out to the kitchen. "Hey while it is just the three of us in here I would like to ask you both something. Can I please get your blessing to marry Georgie" Dominic asked. "Oh my gosh, yes of course you have my blessing" Lou begins to slightly cry as she hugged Dominic. "I know we didn't see eye to eye at first but i can see that you two are good together and happy so yes you have my blessing." Peter said as he shooked Dominic's hand. 

Leaving the kitchen Dominic kissed Georgie goodnight and left Heartland with a huge smile on his face.
