Chapter 11-Problem Solved

Standing in the parking lot holding one another tight it was crystal clear that Dominic and Georgie didn't want to depart from one another. "Hey you will see me tomorrow okay. But i've got to go." Dominic said as he stopped hugging Georgie and went to say goodbye to Lou and peter. "Hey come by the ranch tomorrow I think I can help you with your particular problem." Katie said as she motioned to Georgie. Dominic smiled and nodded then proceeded to his car. getting in the driver seat he watched them drive away. Dominic smiled. Just as he was about to pull away from the car park his phone rang. The number was unknown but that didn't stop Dominic from answering. he was shocked as the mayor of hudson greeted him. 

Meanwhile On the main road heading out of calgary Georgie sat in the left passenger seat dreaming about Dominic and her future with him. "Georgie you okay honey" Lou asked as it was clear her daughter was paying no attention to a thing that was happening around her. "Yeah she's fine just dreaming about Dominic again." Katie said teasing her. "You really like him don't you sweetie" Lou said to Georgie pulling her attention away from her fantasies. "Uhh yeah I do actually" Georgie smiled. Peter saw this in the rearview mirror. "Well then I want to hear all about it tonight at dinner" Peter said with a smirk. Before seven they were arriving back in Hudson and stopped at a traffic light waiting for it to turn green for them to take the correct turning. Dominic pulled up next to them and smiled at Georgie as the light turned green. Taking opposite directions they each returned to their houses to be with their family for the remainder of the night. 

Arriving home Dominic went straight in and sat at the dinner table with his entire family and just smiled. "Why you smiling" Skye asked. "Well i'm happy for starters and surrounded by my family that's all I need in this life." Dominic responded picking up his knife and fork and digging into his shepherd's pie that his mother made for the entire family. Meanwhile at Heartland Jack placed pasta bake onto the table for everyone to help them self too. "So how much do you really like Dominic then" Peter asked Georgie. Jacks face turned to shock completely shooken by the serious tone of peters question. "More than I could possible answer Dad" Georgie replied causing Jack and Amy to smile. "So did you all have a nice time at the zoo" Amy asked trying to change the subject. "Yes I think some enjoyed it more than others" Katie said nudging Georgie. They all continued to eat until they had finished then headed off to bed however Lou and Peter decided to do the washing up. "So are we still feeling happy supporting Dominic marrying our daughter" Lou questioned. "Too me it seems that they both really care for one another on a serious deep level and I think it's their decision ultimately" Peter said as he dried the last plate with a tea towel and headed off to bed. 

"I couldn't help but overhear Dominic wants to marry Georgie" Amy said as she entered the kitchen. "Yes and you can't spoil it for Georgie only a few of us know" Lou replied with a smile. "They will be perfect together does he have a plan I want to help in anyway I can" Amy stated. "No plan yet, he seems to be struggling to think of something but i'm certain he will figure it out soon" Lou responded before heading off towards her bedroom to sleep. 

(The next day)

Katie woke up before everyone else and began writing down in a pad. "This should surely help you make her swoon and say the one word you want to hear" Katie said to herself before she walked to the kitchen to get breakfast. "Ahh, good morning" Jack said greeting her with a smile. "Morning i'm going to go wait in the barn for Dominic" Katie said with a smile. Jack got a confused look on his face before he dismissed it to greet Lou and Peter.  

(2 hours later)

Dominic pulls up to heartland and sees katie waiting in the barn. Shutting off his engine he walks on over rather quickly to avoid being seen by Georgie. "Okay i'm here i'm guessing you know" Dominic said. "About how you want to propose to Georgie but can't quite think of a idea how, Yeah I know" Katie replied with a smirk. "Great so do you have a idea" Dominic asked. "Yeah I got something and brought some extra help too" Katie said as Amy made herself known. "Relax this idea is good and will work" Amy said. "Okay what's the idea" Dominic asked. "You know the trail ride that leads to the lake right" Katie said as Dominic nodded. "Well imagine all of your friends and family standing along the trail handing Georgie white roses as you walk down it and as you get to the lake you tell her how beautiful she is and then ask her to marry you" Amy said with a beautiful smile. "That is genius I wish I had thought of it myself but i'm down it will be good, memorable and special because she deserves it" Dominic said in a calm and excited tone. "Good glad you like it now remember it and good luck" Katie said. "However i'm slightly going to tweak it there is a little something that I have been working on and it could send across the message beautifully. I've got to go but will text you all the details when the time is right." Dominic said as he walked back to his car in a hurry and left Heartland.

Amy looked at Katie with a smile, "So why did you want to help Dominic that much?" Amy asked. "He makes my sister happy and that in turn makes me happy so it's mutually beneficial for us. Besides at the zoo Georgie spoke to Dominic about kids in their future so it seemed like it was heading in that direction and I gave it a little nudge." Katie said. "You certain that was the right thing to do" Jack said making his presence known to the two of them. "I'm kidding relax girls they are and can be be great together" Jack said. As the three of them exited the barn lisa pulled up with a huge smile and some big news. "Hey lis you look happy" Jack said. "I found out what the mayor wants to talk to Dominic about" Lisa replied, "okay so the mayor is looking to promote Hudson and she wants Dominic too host a show that will help young musical artists to be known to the entire world" Lisa said with a big grin. "Woah that's extremely big" Jack said. Meanwhile in the town center Dominic was sitting in the mayor's office.
