Chapter 42

Once Jungkook was fast asleep on the bed, Taehyung finally left the room.

However, he got greeted by everyone gathering in the living room, Mrs Jeon and her husband along with Jieun aka Jungkook's *boss* were all sitting together.

Taehyung has never seen Mr Jeon being so nice with someone as he was with Jieun, right now. Bet the old man would've loved if Jungkook married her.

The omega swallowed the uneasiness in his throat and stepped in the room, his presence made them silent for a moment.

"He's finally asleep..." Taehyung coyly muttered as he walked towards the empty spot and proceeded to sit.

"Jieun just told us about how hard working Jungkook has been" Mrs Jeon spoke to the omega and the latter just smiled awkwardly.

"Jungkook is doing a great job. He's working online but does much work than the other employees. I think that I'll give him a raise next month if he keeps up like that" Jieun said with a smile too bright from Taehyung's liking.

He is proud of Jungkook for being so hard working but he doesn't want this woman to be the one flexing it around as if Jungkook was her lov-

"Please do, his therapy sessions are not cheap at all and Mr Wang just prescribed him new medicine to tone down his high level of stress" Mr Jeon told with a faint smile.

Taehyung on the other hand was taken aback because he didn't know that Jungkook's stress were that high. The vampire always told him that his sessions were going fine and he was getting better.

Why didn't he tell me???

"I hope that it's not work which made him so stressed. Just today at the party he looked a bit off, even from starters. He always bite down his bottoms lips and at the end, I had to help him"

Help him? Taehyung internally scoffed.

"Talking about that, I heard you guys fighting before he left. What happened?" Mrs Jeon was asking Taehyung and the omega's throat momentarily tightened.

"It was just something stupid, we fought over whether he should wear a tie or not. I'm sure that he wasn't stressed because of that?" Taehyung said, unsure, he felt everyone looking straight at him, almost accusingly, it made him utterly uncomfortable.

"Well, refrain your fights especially stupid ones because it's not beneficial for him" Mr Jeon stated, sounding a bit harsh but Mrs Jeon was quick to elbow his rib.

"I'm sure that he was just nervous to go to the party is all..." the next of the words were blurry for Taehyung because he recalled back what happened this morning.

How immature he acted. He didn't consider Jungkook's feeling. He was being unfair.

That's why Jungkook begged him to not stay mad.

What the fuck is wrong with him??

He does more harm to the younger.

He would've never forgiven himself if something bad happened to Jungkook during the party because of their fight.

"Taehyung-ah. I'd like to invite you and Jungkook for a dinner. My fiancé wants to see Jungkook and I'm sure that having you by his side will make him more at ease" Jieun's voice snapped him out of his thought.

What? Her fiancé? So she has a fiancé?

"I-I'd like that. By the way, thank you very much for taking care of him" Taehyung blurted, now he wanted to apologize for being hostile with her but he didn't want embarrass himself in front of Jungkook's parents.
