Chapter 46

The night was tense. Taehyung felt as if the air around him was thick and suffocating but perhaps it's due to Jungkook's piercing glare.

He wanted to say something but Jungkook has already made an opinion about him. He already believed that Taehyung was a liar, not trustworthy.

"I'm going to sleep with Hyuna, tonight" Taehyung deemed it better if they slept in separate rooms for tonight. He was scared to confront Jungkook's cold eyes.

Who knew, Jungkook might strangle him in his sleep, considering how the vampire was so pissed at him.

"Why?" Jungkook's voice was so deep, clearly demanding for an answer and for an explanation.

"I don't know. I just thought that you'd want that..." the omega carefully trailed, not wanting to anger the vampire even more.

When the vampire hoped in the bed, he stayed meters away from Taehyung.

The older's heart was aching.

"Why should I want you to sleep with Hyuna, tonight? We've always slept together" Jungkook stated as he went under the blanket.

They went silent for a brief instant.

Taehyung didn't know what to say, he was so confused and at loss of words.

"Taehyung, you know that I'd never forgiven you if you're lying to me, right? Because I love you a lot but I can't forgive you for fooling me for a second time" the younger's voice was laced in venom, hatred, Taehyung internally winced and his baby was kicking him, clearly uncomfortable from the tension within the air.

"Kook...I-" Taehyung's mouth run dry as soon as he felt strong arms around his waist, just bellow his belly, nonetheless it wasn't a soft touch, not rough to the point of hurting him but it felt strange, as if it wasn't Jungkook's protective arms who were just wrapped around him.

"I'm going to find who's the fucker behind all of this and I'm going to fucking kill him" Jungkook breathed against his nape. "I'll kill him. And I'll give his head to you as a present"

Taehyung tried so much to not react but it got the best of him.

A terrible image of Minho, dead in Jungkook's hands, it was too much to deal with, he got out of the vampire's hold and dashed towards the bathroom.

The headache and nausea made him feel uneasy. He ran and kneeled down, throwing up in the toilet.

He coughed and got ride of the uneasiness in this throat.

When he thought that he could get better, he broke down, he cried so much that he's sure that Jungkook could hear him loud and clear. Even then, he couldn't stop.

"Are you really crying because of that? Because I told you that I'd kill this fucking bastard?" Jungkook's tone sounded mocking, he could never understand.

Minho was Hyuna's father, Taehyung was in love with him once. Of course the omega is angry at the alpha for faking his death but he doesn't hate him to the point of wanting him dead.

"Jung-Kook... please stop" He nearly begged through his sobs, little did he know that it only enraged his mate.

"Why should I?" A kick on the door made his breath hitch. "You fucking lied to me about his death! Are you still in love with this man? Is that why you're so overprotective of him?" Another kick but a more violent one and directed to the wall this time, Taehyung almost peed himself.

He looked back and met Jungkook's red eyes.

"I'm sorry, please don't-" hurt me, Taehyung was about to add.
