Papyrus, why are you giving me this fish?" You asked as Papyrus had given you yet another fish but this time out of nowhere. "BECAUSE SANS TOLD ME ABOUT YOUR POD NOT HAVING ANY COMPETENT HUNTERS!" Papyrus puffed out his chest in pride and you gave Sans a side glare. Of course Sans just shrugged and smiled, it was considerate of Papyrus to give you fish because he thought you were struggling with procuring food… the utter sweetheart.

"Ah that's very kind of you but I got plenty of food back at my base… I'll accept this nonetheless" You couldn't refuse such a gift when he had taken the effort to catch this for you, food probably was scarce even under the frozen ocean. "DO NOT WORRY TINY HUMAN! YOU DO NOT NEED TO MAKE EXCUSES FOR YOUR POD BECAUSE I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS WILL BE PROVIDING YOU FOOD FROM NOW ON!" Um…. That was sweet of him but he didn't need to do all that, you looked towards Sans for help but when you just got a smug grin from him instead you knew he wouldn't do anything to help you get out of this. Why would he? His brother looked so proud and happy when he provided you with food. "There's no need for th-" You tried to reassure him that you truly didn't need him to go through all that effort since you were plenty fed back at home base but he interrupted you. "AND I AM NOT TAKING NO FOR AN ANSWER!" You wanted to throw a snowball at his proud face since he was being quite pushy about this but he was just being nice to you. You sighed and resigned to your fate of being fed fish for the rest of your life or till you leave this cold climate.

"Alright Papyrus you win but only because you're an absolute sweetheart" You teased and you could clearly see an orange blush on his cheek bones. "Ey, no flirtin' with my brother" You gave Sans an eye roll, obviously you were not flirting with Papyrus, they both would have known if you were flirting. "FLIRTING!? OH I AM SORRY Y/N, I DO NOT FEEL THOSE KIND OF FEELINGS TOWARDS YOU…" Rejected without even trying, your soul…. It broke in half, you were utterly devastated! "That's okay Papyrus, I knew I wouldn't be up to par with your great standards" You joked but it seems like he took it too seriously, you could see Sans holding in a snort in your peripheral vision. "DO NOT FRET TINY HUMAN, I AM SURE YOU WILL MEET SOMEONE ELSE'S STANDARDS!" Sans didn't catch the slight glance Papyrus did to him and neither did you when he said that. "Thanks Papyrus, I will remember that" You smiled and suddenly he perked up, did he have a light bulb moment?

"Y/N! IS THERE ANYONE WHO YOU HAVE A CERTAIN INTEREST IN? EXCEPT ME OF COURSE!" You had to stop yourself from laughing so you just continued to smile as you made a motion of thinking, you weren't really interested in anyone like that but if you had to choose… "Hmmm… there is this one guy at home base, he's a doctor" You hit it off with him when he taught you how to deal with the white noise in your ear constantly making sounds that weren't really there. Problem was… he already had a partner, it was a long distance relationship but Papyrus was speaking hypotheticals.

You missed the glint of rivalry in Sans's eyelights as you were too preoccupied talking to his brother about this human. Pfft, a human guy, how great could he be? Sans wondered what a doctor was but his brother apparently did too and you answered both of their inquiries. Huh a human that heals? Sans didn't know that humans were capable of that but it makes sense… a ton of humans came to rescue you without engaging him in combat, too focused on getting you to safety. The more you talked about the guy with a fondness in your eyes and with that smile on your face, the less he liked the guy. "I SEE! THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD HUMAN! I WILL HELP YOU WITH THIS ENDEAVOUR MY DEAR FRIEND!" You chuckled as you shook your head, Sans agreed with that, keep your crush hi- … wait why did he care about that? He could care less if you… got with another human but it felt… weird. For some odd reason.

"There's no nee-" You tried to say yet again, you didn't need help with such things as you didn't actually have any romantic feelings for the guy and even if you did that wouldn't work out, you weren't a "homewrecker" so to speak. "NONSENSE! I SHALL GO AND THINK ABOUT ALL THE IDEAS FOR YOU TO ATTRACT HIS ATTENTION WITH MY GREAT TACTICAL MINDSET!" Before you could say anything, he dove down and away he went to… think about how to matchmake you with the doctor. Welp that went well, perhaps next time you should say you had lost interest? You felt bad that Papyrus was putting in so much effort for your sake. "And there he goes without letting me speak again" You sighed with a smile, you knew he was just excited to help you. "Heh, he's just eager to help ya out, isn't he great? Anyhow… a human guy huh?" Sans looked at you with oval eyelights rather than his round ones, such an intense stare. What was this? An interrogation? Sure felt like it. The immense temptation to stick out your tongue and say "yeah and?" was immense but you felt like he wouldn't understand the teasing gesture so you will opt to to default and tell him the truth.
