Lured By The Siren's Charm

Chapter 10: Ice-skating Lessons Pt. 2

After the talk with his younger brother, he knew now what he was feeling was intense jealousy towards the stranger you were with... but he had also caught a goddamn crush on you, so much so his Siren instincts were threatening to take over when he saw you with that other human. Ugh why did he satiate his curiosity when he saw your form with an unfamiliar one, if he hadn't surfaced would he be feeling like usual? Probably but then again, now he knew someone else was trying to take you awa- no he had to stop those thoughts. Somebody else was interested in you and he couldn't lose to such a weak human.

Papyrus had given him advice ever since his episode, he had such a great and supportive brother but everything went blank the moment he faced you for the first time he had realized his feelings towards you. His soul pulsated as he stared into your beautiful eyes. "Oh hello there Snuggles" You said with a smile, that one... that one was for him, only him. "Uh hello? Anyone there?" You waved your gloved hand near his face, he wished he could just... take it off and feel those soft hands of yours once again... abruptly he felt something touch his forehead and his soul jumped in joy. "Are you having a fever? You don't feel too hot but then again, you're constantly in cold frigid water" Your soft palm was touching his skull and the way you stood on your toe tips to reach him was incredibly cute. You retracted your hand and put your glove back on, waiting for him to speak... er, what could he say!?

"Eh, being around you brings my temperature up hot stuff" You blinked and then turned around and walked away, oh fuck, shit he messed it up, come back please! Goddamnit! He always knew how to fumble it! Suddenly you did stop, only to bend down and get up again and before he could ask, his skull was met with cold snow. "I think you need to cool it" You snickered, oh how cheeky of you. "Anyways since you seem normal now, you caught me at the perfect time!" Oh he wished he could catch you alright, ugh no! He should get his mind out of the gutter before you become suspicious. "That so, why?" That came out a little bit too grumpy but it seems like you were used to that by now. "I got vacation! Which means I will be less out and about for awhile" What the fuck was a vacation!? Did it involve that stranger you were with!? He had so many questions and it looks like you caught onto that.

"Pfft, sorry I forgot you don't know human concepts... basically it means I get to be lazy and don't actually have to leave the comfort of my den? If that makes sense" You explained and it did make sense but he wonders if that stranger was the cause, he didn't want you to cuddle up to that human all cozy like. So this means he won't be seeing you for a while? Ugh how bothersome. "Ah I see, wish Papyrus would let me do that... by the way, who was that human you were with the other day?" He asked, if he didn't he would think about it all day and night, probably would regardless of who it was but he was curious to know what kind of human was trying to steal you away from-... what kind of human who was interested in you.. "Oh? You saw us? Just the doctor Papyrus thought I had an interest in" You said with no particular emotion on your face, what he wanted to know was if you actually did have any affection towards the stranger you were with. Not much of a stranger to you it seems...

"... Do you? Have an interest?" You shook your head at that, weren't you sure yourself? So that means... he has time to make you see that he is the obvious choice. "Depends in what way, platonically? Sure, romantically? No. What? You jealous or something? You want to learn how to skate on ice too?" You laughed with such a charming sound. "... No, don't think that's possible even" He awkwardly rubbed his neck bone, he imagined himself scooting on the icy ground with you, a chuckle left his throat. "Not with that attitude it isn't" You teased as you skated closer to him, you wanted to skate with him? His soul pulsated in sadness, he wasn't able to do that with you...

"Sorry to say but I got no legs to skate on, guess I could slowly slide instead" Sans didn't like being away from water for too long or too far away, on land he was just a massive, heavy and slow piece of log, easy prey, though he did have his siren song. You would surely find his slow nature boring like all the others. "You don't need to move to skate with me" You suddenly took off your gloves and moved even closer to him, you took his hand in yours and moved it so it was above you. What were you doing? Not that he was complaining when he felt your soft hands touching his skeletal one. Suddenly you began to spin as you were loosely holding his hand in yours, he saw that you used his hand as a balancing point as you spun. You were slowing down and out of instinct he held your waist so you didn't tumble after all that dizzying spinning. "I'll teach you how you can ice skate with me" You chuckled, his cheek bones spreading in a deep blue hue.

You taught Sans how he could technically ice skate with you without having him move much other than his upper skeleton body. You skated around him and whenever you circled back to him, he would spin you around by the hand.

"Aren't you a quick learner?" You smiled, you were getting tired and the warmth of the home base was calling your name. "Sure am my lil' Snowball" Snowball? That one was new, but you did frequently throw snowballs at him so it fit you, you hadn't caught onto the fact he just called you his. You rolled your eyes but there was an obvious smile on your face. "Gotta head back now... I'll be gone for a while so don't worry if you don't see me around too much" At that Sans hums as he suddenly got this dopey grin, you look up at him confused, was there something he wanted to say before you go?

"I just remembered... you owe me somethin'" You did? What in the world could you- oh... your face soured, you had forgotten about that. "You always react like that, don't like touching me or somethin'?" Oh gosh no, that wasn't it! His Orca body was fine to the touch, it was just...

"My hands get freezing cold, there's a reason why I'm wearing these things on my hands" You emphasize your point by showing your gloved hands, they were cold after ice skating with Sans since you didn't have them on. He frowned at that while you sheepishly smiled, you had kept it secret all the time you did pet him but right now your hands were just too cold. Frostbite was a big concern after all. "And ya didn't think of telling me that sooner?" He scolded and you awkwardly told him a quiet whoops, he sighed and grumbled.

"If that's so then I'll take a hug from ya instead" You couldn't refuse that could you? He was being so adorable when he opened up his arms for you. "I can't say no to that now, can I snuggles?" You beamed and closed the gap between you two so he could embrace you in a hug. Though you soon regretted your action when you saw a playful smile across his skull and all of a sudden he picked you up like nothing and held you against himself. "Sans! Put me down, this is not how you hug someone" You squirmed a bit but it was clear he wasn't letting you go. "Oh my bad, I changed my choice to a lil' snuggle instead" You sighed but hugged him back, what a cheeky little Orca.

Eventually Sans did let you down and allowed you to escape... for today. He wished he could hold you for longer and preferably when you weren't wearing your thick winter clothing but that wasn't really possible, you would probably freeze to death. Ugh, why were humans so weak? And why did he fall for one!? Probably because you were so kind, considerate but also understanding and you liked puns... that's a huge plus. When you said he could skate with you, he was curious about how with no legs or blades but you found a way for him to engage, a way for him to dance with you. He had watched you spin and twirl around... almost like a dance Sirens did to attract someone's attention... he always messed up doing that due to his slow and unusually big clumsy body.

But you had all of his attention for sure... now he had to just gain yours.

Y/N: Yeah I could get frostbite if I don't wear my gloves for too long.

Sans: ... Bruh, why didn't you tell me?

Y/N: The cuddle whale demanded it and if I didn't comply, it would definitely start pouting.

Sans: Well now the cuddle whale demands cuddles.

Y/N: With the gloves on?

Sans: Obviously.
