Lured By The Siren's Charm

Chapter 9: Ice-skating Lessons Pt. 1

You were at the base getting yourself ready to go out into the cold landscape, you checked your backpack and your other tools that usually hung from your waist such as your ice pick.

"Oi Y/N! I've been looking for you!" You heard the voice of the doctor also known as Lynn, you couldn't just call him "Doctor" or "The doctor" now that the both of you were kind of friends, that would have been rude. "Me? For what? My blood tests came out weird?" You joked, you hadn't taken any recent blood works but you felt fine and healthy so there was no reason to.

"No! No… wait, you haven't taken any blood tests recently… have you?" The panic on Lynn's face was priceless and you laughed as you waved it off. "No, I haven't just messing with you anyway, why are you looking for me?" You asked as you put on your gloves. "Well you see… I've seen you skate around the ice while doing your work and I was wondering if… you could teach me?" The only reason you had to say no to him was because you were literally going out to do your job and not frolic around the ice… too much, heh. "Er- I would love to but I got work? Like all of us here?" With that Lynn gave you a big dopey grin and outstretched a letter for you to take, an official looking one. "Uh what is this?" You said as you accepted it, you didn't bother removing your gloves. "Something good, go on read it" You did as he asked and with curious eyes, they scanned the letter and read it.

"You're kidding me, a week of vacation and added sick days? Why? How?" You asked befuzzled and when you looked up at Lynn, he smiled sweetly at you. "I pulled some strings for you… since they didn't exactly give you any compensation when you got gravely injured" Oh my stars! You were about to go in for a hug before you stopped yourself. "Is it okay if I hug you?" You knew some people prefered personal space above all else so you asked him if it was okay for you to invade his. "Of course!" He opened up his arms and you instantly embraced him. "Thank you so much! Now I can finally do what I've always wanted to do!" You detached from the huh and smiled, you could see a puzzled Lynn. "And what is that?" He asked and you smirked, you had been waiting for him to ask you that. "Doing absolutely nothing while being all cozy in this warm base!" You chuckled, but in all honesty you would definitely do that, gosh darn you needed it but today you might as well go out and teach Lynn skating since you were all geared up anyway.

"Well since I apparently have free time and already geared up… want to go skate right now?" Since he came to you asking you about it and giving you the letter, you did assume he had free time too. Luckily there was more than one doctor around so it was okay for him to leave the base for a short amount of time. "That was kinda my plan so yes!" Good, he had honesty, that was a good trait to have as a doctor. "Then get geared up and let's go" You tugged him with you to his locker.

This would be interesting.

You were on the ice with Lynn practically clinging to you as he stumbled like a newborn fawn. He hadn't quite found the balance yet, you moved away from him with a sneaky smile. The only way for him to learn was to fail and fall until he got the balance right. His legs got all wobbly as he tried balance but no luck as he fell onto his bum.

"Y/N! You're too cruel!" He cried out and you chuckled as you offered your hand as support. "You think so? But this is how you learn to skate on ice but I guess you can hold onto me and we can skate together to give you a feel for it" You helped him up and let him cling to you once again, this was going to take more than a week for him to learn. You skated for a while, Lynn went from clinging fully onto you til just holding onto your hand, quick learner.

All of a sudden, he tumbled down and since he held your hand you got dragged down too, landing on top of him. The both of you groaned but when the two of you realized what had happened, you laughed in harmony. "Well lookie here, I seem to have trapped a cute little rabbit under me" You sat up, straddling him. Ugh, Sans's flirtatious persona had definitely rubbed onto you, Lynn blushed a deep scarlet as he looked up at you. "Ahaha… wait a rabbit? Why not an Arctic fox?" You laughed while getting up from him, a cute little arctic fox didn't quite sound as right as a cute little rabbit. You reached your hand to him. "Because you're a cute little rabbit that tends to want to please everyone" You winked and he accepted your hand with a cute blush on his cheeks. "Now should we continue our skating?" You asked and Lynn smiled as he squeezed your hand.
