It had been quite some time after your fiasco and everything now was… well peaceful, your relationship with Sans was now more mellow when you didn't see him as the villain all the time. You won't forget he was the one who drowned you but he also did save you from eternal entrapment. You felt bad about the bloodshed that happened but Sans had told you that he tried to be polite at the start but no dice as they kindly told him to fuck off. He had tried… for you.
"Hey, hey look what I found" Sans's voice came from behind you, turning around you saw him outstretching something for you to take. You curiously swam up to him to see what it was. "It's a sea shell… found it when it literally flashed light into my eye sockets" You laughed at that, allowing yourself to display positive emotions around him. You did ever since he had basically rescued you. Taking the seashell out of his hands, you looked at its incredibly shiny and smooth shell. "What an amazing weapon you found, I'll be sure to use it to blindside you" You snickered as you made the sun hit the shell just right and put the beam of light into Sans's eye sockets.
"Ey! Stop that you little-!" Sans tried to grab you blindly but you were too quick as you moved under him, giving his Orca tail a tickle with your bubble blowing ability. He curled his body to trap you as he couldn't stop himself from laughing from the tickling, he grabbed your wrists playfully. "You're not playin' fair there, Bubbles" Sans had given you a new endearing nickname due to your bubble trick. "Not my fault you're too adora- I mean slow" You tried to correct yourself, you had caught onto your mistake but it seems it was too late as Sans gave you a massive grin. "You think I'm adorable huh?" You stuttered out incohesive words and every word sent his ego ever higher. "No use in denying it now, Bubbles… I know when you're lyin' to me" He tugged you closer, your face dangerously close to his skull. You could feel your whole body heat up and your cheeks must have been scarlet red. "Fine… you're adorable… an adorable numbskull that is" You flashed a beam of sunlight with the help of the shell in Sans's eye sockets once again and he let you go in favor of shielding his eyes.
"I regret ever showing you that shell!" Sans groaned and you laughed, swimming quick circles around his tail. "It's mine now" You chuckled but stopped when you realized you should probably start hunting for food, Papyrus was back home in the den, said he didn't feel too well… which was odd but Sans told you he would be fine. "We should probably get going before all of the good fish gets snatched up" You swam up in front of him, he was smiling like the dork he was. "You're right… I'll race you there" Sans said as he took a head start, you grinned at that, obviously you were the faster one but sometimes… Sans did manage to win by surprising you at the last minute with a few devious tricks.

"Err- why are you playing with stones?" You were back at the den after your successful hunt with Sans and for some odd unexplainable reason, your mind found playing with rocks highly addicting right now. "I don't know? Because it's fun?" You stacked some rocks in a pillar formation. "Um… I see, you also made the shell I gave you the centerpiece" What? Oh… yeah, it could be seen as such you guess. Was there anything wrong with you creating stone pillars littered around the cave?
"You want it back or something?" You picked it off the pebble and swam up to him to give it back, opening your palm for him to take it back… You would miss blinding him with it though hehe. Sans vehemently shook his head as he took your hand into his and closed your palm with his other one. "No! No… I just found it… cute, go on and place it back lil' gemstone" Sans's bonecheeks turned a brilliant blue and you shrugged, turning back to place the pretty seashell back into its place.
"BROTHER! STOP MAKING SO MANY STONE- OH" Papyrus came in shouting, which made you stop building your stone pillars and look at him. Ah… maybe you shouldn't have littered so many of them around the place, you weren't the only one living in this underwater cave after all. "I made them, you can go and knock some of them down if it bothers you" You had no problems with it but the guilt ridden expression Papyrus gave you said he didn't like that idea of yours… You laughed inside your mind, Papyrus seemed to have no problems with knocking things down if it was his brother's doing but hesitated when it was you.
"Ah I See… Erm… NO THAT IS FINE… GO ON AND UH… HAVE FUN?" Papyrus gave his brother a glance and saw him put a finger against his teeth to signal for him to keep quiet. "WE WILL LEAVE YOU ALONE WITH… UH THESE GREAT STONE MONUMENTS OF YOURS!" Papyrus grabbed his brother's shoulder and dragged him away so the both of them could speak in private. You happily waved them off and got yourself immersed in building again in no time.
"BROTHER… ARE THEY?" Papyrus carefully asked, you were building things to attract a mate most likely but he couldn't be sure, it was soon mating season again after all. It looks like you didn't know why you were doing what you were doing but you seemed to be very happy doing it. "I think so… though they used the seashell I gave them" Sans informed as he scratched his neck bone anxiously, ah… but that was good news! Even though you hadn't figured out why you were doing it. "WELL ARE YOU NOT HAPPY? THEY ARE TRYING TO ATTRACT YOUR ATTENTION… EVEN THOUGH THEY CLEARLY DOES NOT NEED TO SINCE THEY ALREADY HAVE IT" He gave Sans a knowing smirk, you were starting to reciprocate his brother's feelings! Papyrus knew you only needed some time to get used to everything. Lately you and Sans have become more and more close, it's why he told you he was feeling a bit unwell so he couldn't join you on the hunt for food but of course that was a lie! A ploy so you and his brother could spend some time together and build a stronger bond without him interfering. And it worked!
"Yeah but they don't know they're doing it" Sans sighs, if it was intentional and you knew about it, it would have been easier to just ask you once again to become mates but you just thought you found rock building fun. "WELL THEN, TELL THEM WHY! SIMPLE!" Ah, yeah simple for him… he can't just go "Hey, the reason why you're building these stone pillars is because ya like me so… want to be my mate?" Sans shuddered at how dumb and forward that sounded, you would definitely slap him across the skull! "It's not simple Paps… I can't just tell them! They'll think I'm lying since my goal is to be their mate… always has been" Sans groaned at the predicament, finally when you were showing signs of wanting him, you didn't even know you were doing it!
"AH, I SEE YOUR PROBLEM… WELL THEN I WILL JUST TELL THEM MYSELF!" Papyrus exclaimed but before he could swim away to embarrass Sans and make it awkward, he grabbed his tail and pulled him back. "No! Don't!" He bashfully said and his brother gave him a disappointed look but he nodded in understanding. "FINE BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO TELL THEM SOME DAY SOON… THEY WILL GET SUSPICIOUS OF WHY THEY ARE FEELING THE THINGS THEY ARE SOON ENOUGH" Sans knew that but… thing had just gotten so good with you and he didn't want to ruin it just like that if you were to have a negative response. "I know… I just… want to enjoy the peaceful moments for a little while longer… and I find it cute that they're cluelessly building rocky pillars for me, heheh" Papyrus chuckled and rubbed his brother's skull playfully.
You were still happily building the stone towers with a smile.
