You and the siren brothers had been getting along for quite some time now, your crew members never suspected anything and just thought you were slow here and there which you were okay with. You might get fired if they knew you were fraternizing with two Sirens after all, though it didn't say anything about not talking to them in the job description. Probably was an unwritten rule that talking to potentially deadly creatures wasn't allowed.

"Hey Y/N? Are ya listenin'?" Oh right, you were with Sans, you had accidentally zoned out for just a second there. "Sorry, what were you saying?" You sheepishly asked and Sans huffed at you but didn't say anything else about it. "I was wonderin' if I could... touch that fur on your head? It looks... soft" Oh did he mean your hair? Such an odd request but you didn't see why not. "Sure... if I get to touch your tail" You always had wondered how his tail would feel, was it slimy? Cold? Scaly? You just didn't know! "Er, guess that's fair... gotta warn ya though... I ain't as small as I look" What? Small? You thought he looked pretty massive even when most of his tail was underwater. "You think you're small? Obviously we both know that's a lie" You replied while shrugging, he couldn't be that big, right? Right. Sans chuckled at you with amusement while grinning at you, he started to emerge more and more from the water. You took a few steps back to give him more space, turns out you needed to take a few more and when he was fully on the ice in front of you...

"Stars, what have you eaten to get so huge?" You absentmindedly commented, not expecting an answer to your question. Sans was now towering over you, stars how tall would Papyrus be if he used his siren body to prop himself upright!? You were grateful they always leveled with you when they were in the water instead of towering over you. "I'm just big boned" He teased as he looked down at you.

Sans could tell you were quite shocked when he fully emerged from the water, he did give you a fair warning though. When he gazed down at you, you had to crane your neck to look up at him... it was very cute. "When you said you looked smaller you weren't kidding huh?" Sans chuckled, at least you weren't afraid of him like you were when seeing you up close for the first time. "Nope, water can be deceiving, now come closer, will ya? so I can touch your fur" You did as he asked and removed that thing you usually had on your head, revealing that soft fur on top of your head. Sans had always been curious to touch and feel it, only now did he have the courage to ask. It came as a surprise when you asked to touch his tail in exchange... guess you were curious about him too. "We humans call it hair not fur" You said as he got his hand on your head, the tuft of soft fibers tickling his phalanges. "What's the difference?" Sans asked curiously as he combed through your lovely fu- hair.

"... Nothing, we just uh call it hair" Pfft, how pretentious but it's not like you had a say in what the majority of humans called it. Suddenly he brushed against something uneven, like a scar? It felt pretty neatly healed unlike his, you flinched but you didn't back away. "Ah, be a bit careful of that area... the scar is still healing slightly" Scar? Then he had been right with his assumptions. He had accidentally brushed against the spot he hit you with the stone, some of your hair was shorter there as well, to make it heal better? He didn't know. Sans was glad he didn't accidentally scratch your skin with his long claw-like phalanges. "Oh sorry, did I hurt you?" He stopped touching your head, his curiosity was satisfied and stars was it soft to the touch. "No, no, you're good, just still sensitive there" You put your thing back on and smiled up at him, you were being so cute. The guilt of that event still haunted him whenever his brain decided to randomly think about it.

And as promised, you got to touch his enormous Siren tail. With your gloveless hand it felt cold and slippery but not quite slimey, his black like Orca skin felt almost like rubber. Your hands glided along the tail carefully and you could feel a few scars here and there, a story of survival all across his Orca body. "Hey mind doin' that to my dorsal fin? Can't quite reach it myself..." He suddenly asked, was he enjoying this like a cat would enjoy pets? You did not expect that at all! "Hate to break it to you but you're too massive for me to reach that" His entire form was massive and you don't think you could reach that far... maybe if you tried but you weren't gonna do that. "C'mere for a second" You stopped 'petting' and walked back to Sans's front with a curious look. "What do you w-ahhh-!" You got interrupted by Sans suddenly grabbing onto you, lifting you up from the icy ground like you weighed absolutely nothing and putting you on his Orca body. This was... weird, beyond weird! Before you could say anything or do anything, like scold him, he spoke yet again.

"Now ya can reach" Sans snickered, that cheeky little-! You quietly sigh but you slide yourself down to reach his dorsal fin and you start rubbing it, might as well feel it too when you're already up here and all. "Didn't know sirens liked to be petted" You teased and Sans only hummed at that, not paying attention to what you were saying, he must really be enjoying this. Sitting on top of his Orca body was... interesting, the longer you sat on top of him the more you could feel his body heat with your hands but the cold temperature kept your hands comfortably chilled and by that you mean absolutely frozen if you kept this up for too long. "Alright, I'm done, lift me back down" You continued to rub his dorsal fin but got no answer from him... was he enjoying this a little bit too much? Well you couldn't do this all day, so you stopped and slid yourself off of him pretty easily. You landed on the ice, your legs took the impact like a champ. You tried walking away to gather your backpack but a tail prevented you from doing that, you looked up at Sans, puzzlement clearly on your face.

"Ya sure you're done?" You rolled your eyes at him, great now you had accidentally introduced Sans to massages or something akin to it. "Yes, I have other things to do before nightfall after all" You tried pushing his tail away so you could get to your bag but no dice as it didn't move at all, curse his unnatural Siren strength. You looked up at Sans with annoyance, your hands still on his tail, he just smiled down at you. "Ya can do them human things tomorrow...?" You sighed, the only way to get out of this predicament was to offer to do this again at a later date. "If I promise to pet you again later, will you let me go?" Sans hummed at that, not sure if he would actually let you go. What would you tell your teammates? "Sorry guys, I didn't finish my collection of data because a deadly siren wanted more pets from me" Yeah that didn't sound believable. "Alright but I will hold ya to it" You begrudgingly nodded as he grinned at you while he moved his tail away, finally! You gathered your backpack and put your gloves back on, ready to continue your interrupted work.

"See you later Sans" You said before you skated away, you sure were a speedy one on those blades, huh? It surprised him everytime he saw the speeds you could go but what surprised him even more was how your hands felt against his Orca half, he thought a human hand would be rough and unpleasant. However your touch was oh so gentle when you glided them over his scars he had gotten from fighting against other Sirens for territory, although they were healed completely you had been so tender when you touched them and when he put you on top so you could reach his dorsal fin? The slight and calculated pressure you gave felt... really good, he had to struggle not to melt where he laid.

You had managed to find a weakness, hadn't you? He probably shouldn't tell you it was a weakness.

Sans weakness: Pets (spesifically from Y/N)

Also, fur and hair has no difference, we just call it hair for some reason 🤔 (The only difference really is the growth of fur stops at a certain length, human hair doesn't)
