A couple hours later with Megan at her Parents' house
"SHE CALLED YOU WHAT?" My dad says with anger I've never seen before, it's actually scary. My mom asks him to leave the room to calm down. He does but I hear him swearing in Spanish and Catalan in the other room.
"Megan, you did the right thing and I'm proud of you taking charge. You should join a team that will love you and support you." My mom says calmly even though she is clearly pissed. "I know mom that's why I already called my agent and asked him to talk to City to find teams that would want me." I said. "Good job, those perras (bitches) don't deserve you and you are going to a real team that will love you." My dad says without trying to lash out again. I nod my head and anxiously wait for my agent to call me back. I told him I don't want to be in England anymore, just anywhere that's not in England.
I turn on the TV and the first story is about me. "Breaking News: Megan Cardona, has requested to leave Manchester City. This comes as a shock as it seemed that she was enjoying her time at City. The reason is unclear. Manchester City has accepted her request. There are many teams rumored for her services and those are: Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, Real Madrid, Lyon, and FC Barcelona. We will give you more information as it comes in.
I turn off the TV and think about those teams. I'm rumored to be wanted by FC Barcelona, my dads and I favorite team for both men's and women's. My dream club to play for. I'll play alongside the very best there are. I'll play next to Alexia Putellas, the best female player in the world and my crush. My day dreaming is interrupted when I get a call from my agent.
I go to my room and answer the phone. "Hey Meg, this is Phil." He says. "Hey Phil, so what teams want me?" I ask impatiently. He laughs and says, "Alright, these are the teams, we already have contracts from these teams so all you have to do is say yes and it'll be done." "Phil, come on please tell me." I say. "Ok, the teams are FC Barcelona, Baye-" "I want to go to Barcelona." I say immediately.
"But I haven't even told you the others. Are you sure about this Meg?" "Without a doubt, I want to play for Barca." I say confidently. "Alright, I'll tell City and Barcelona. You picked the right choice, Meg. They'll love you there." Phil says happily, since he knows I'm a diehard Barca fan. "Thank you so much, Phil. I'm finally going to live my dream." I say trying not to cry.
"No problem. Barca will want you there in 2 days, so you better come prepared. A representative from the club will pick you up at the airport and drive you to the Camp Nou sign your contract and become a Barca player. You'll also be presented out on the field for the fans as well. See you later, Meg." He says. "Thanks Phil. I'll talk to you later." I say as I hang up with him. I can't believe I'm going to play for Barca. My team, my passion, and my home.
I go into the room where my parents are and try not cry. "That was very quick, Meg. So who did you choose?" My dad says. I think my mom knows who I signed for since I see her with the biggest smile on her face. "Dad, I'm going to be a Barcelona player. I'm finally going back home." I say crying.
My dad stands there in shock until he cries, literally picks me up, and twirls me around sobbing. "La meva nena jugarà al Barcelona! Et mereixes aquesta mel. No m'ho puc creure!" He sobs in Catalan. (My babygirl is going to play for Barcelona! You deserve this honey. I can't belive it!).
I cry as well and I couldn't talk because I was so happy. My mom joins our crying session and congratulates me. This day just turned to the worst day of my life to one of the greatest days in my life. I'm going to be playing for Barcelona. My life, my passion, and most importantly my home.
