Im so thankful Sebastian came over. He wanted to make sure I was alright. He even walked me home with some of his football friends to make sure no one would bother me.
Most of the attention fell on to Sebastian as soon as we got home. He loves the attention my parents give him. He is like a son to my parents and has been since the first time he walked in to my house back when we were in year seven.
Charlotte is like my parents third daughter. Everyone knows Charlotte and Sebastian are the favorite siblings who can do no wrong. It annoys my sister Ann and I.as soon as Sebastian and Charlotte walk in Ann and I are forgotten about.
I would have said a joke about how my mums favorite son was there but I just walked straight to my room without mum noticing only coming out when dinner was ready
"So lauren how was school"? Mum asked again
She probably thought I wasn't listening but I was. Mothers have this way of knowing when their child is upset or that something is wrong. I wonder if Anne has said something. She was there in the playground when Charlotte shouted at me.
Most of the time when we are in school Ann and I don't see each other. We are two years apart with me being the oldest. We tend to stay out of each others way and when hometime comes along we tend to walk with our friends instead of each other. She normally gets home before me so Anne has the perfect opportunity to tell mum all about our day.
I never want mum to think badly about Charlotte. I know Charlotte loves my mum like she's hers but at the end of the day when it comes down to it mum will be on my side. This has happened before
Back in year eight my best friend was Nina. we did textiles together. For a while she would come over for dinner and sleepovers. That was before Nina met Scarlett and Troy. she changed over night, she went from this fun loving girl to a bully over night. Mum only found out what happened when Anne told her. I was not going to let that happen again.
"Everythings fine mum, school was good. Nothing to report" I said wearing a fake smile
Ann was about to say something but before she could I kicked her under the table and gave her a stern look. This was not the time. I had to talk to her but not here.
I gave Ann a signal telling her we would talk later. Sebastian also gave me a look. He knew this was hard for me. I gave mum a smile and asked to go to my room.
