Im sitting in my english class with Chloe. We were so bored. We had just finnish doing our english GCSE'S. There was nothing else to do. Why couldn't we go home was beyond me. It would beat being here watching Charlotte giggling at me. I have tried to tell the teacher but so far they have done nothing. So much for their anti-bullying policy. They probably think that they don't have to do anything because we have six weeks left of school. Basically letting Charlotte get away with what ever she wanted.
"How many times do I have to tell a teacher that Charlotte is still talking about me. I feel like a broken record"
"You have said that at least ten times in the last few days" Chloe commented
"Because I am. The teachers don't care and they wonder why student never go to them for a problem"
"Put Charlotte to the back of your mind you have a lot of friends that want to be your friend lets just focus on them for now. I give it a couple of days and Charlotte will be your best friend again"
"How do you know?" I asked resting my chin on my hand
"Because this isn't your first rodeo"
Thats true. Charlotte tends to have moments where she will stop speaking to people for no reason what so ever. Its annoying because you don't know where you stand.
This happened the for the first time when we were in year 7. One day we were best friends the next best enemies. It was so out of the blue and I tried so hard to think about what I could have said to cause her to stop talking to me. I could think of nothing.
Chloe and Jessica said this was normal for her. They went to the same primary school as her so knew all the stunts she pulled. I was glad that I wasn't the only one Charlotte ignored however it still hurt especially when she was still talking to the others. Let me tell you that was not fun. A week later we went back to being best friends. We kind of swept everything under the carpet and never talked about it again like many of our arguments. I learnt that it was easier not to talk about it even when there was so much more I would liked to have said. It was better than having Charlotte screaming at me trying to prove her point.
Maybe I am a push over. Maybe I should have made Charlotte accountable for her actions but I actually like it when we are all together I hate it when we are apart. Im always the one to crack first and say sorry. I don't feel like doing it this time. I want Charlotte to learn that people wont give into her so easily like I do. She may hate me now but one day she will thank me for it, I just know it.
"Lauren how do you spell 'IT" Chloe asked breaking me out of my thoughts
I had to ask her again because I didn't understand what she was asking me to spell. I think it was to spell 'IT' but I wasn't sure.
I just looked at her with a quizzical look. I knew once Chloe realized what she asked me she would laugh be embarrassed.
She looked at me with a confused look. It took everything I had not to laugh out loud. I didn't want her to think that she was stupid but out of all the things she has ever asked me to spell this was the top of the list
"Chloe think about it how do you think 'it' is spelt"
"I dont know thats why im asking you. Don't look at me like that I really need your help"
A smile came across my face "you want to know how to spell 'it' its spelt I and then T"
Chole looked at me then burst out laughing "oh my god im having a blond moment"
I couldn't stop laughing. If there is anything im going to miss about school this would be it. Sitting with Chole was endless entertainment. You never know what she's going to say next
"Don't worry Chole we have all been there, its nearly the end of term we are all getting tired but thank you for always providing the comedy. After the past couple of weeks i needed this"
Wed couldn't stop. Everytime we looked at each other we would burst out laughing. I tried my hardest to stop but laughter kept on coming.
"What is the problem with you guys. Gosh you two are like children grow up" Charlotte said in an annoyed tone
If she heard what Chloe asked me she would be laughing to. She would tease Chloe until she blew up in her face. That was always the way
We spent the rest of the lesson trying to keep our composure until the bell went for lunch. We ran out of the classroom and bumped in to sebastian
"Whats got in to you two?" he asked as we burst in to fits of giggles. Through the tears I tried to explain what went on but it all came out in mumbles and jumbles "whatever it is it mus of been funny. And im so glad to see you smiling Lauren. Haven't seen that smile in a long time
