If there was one thing Charlotte and I have always talked about for the last two its this: we want to live together when we are in college
Well thats what Charlotte wants, Im still not sure on the whole college living together thing
"Oh it will be so much fun to live together don't you think so lauren" Charlotte says waiting on my response
"It would be. We could split the bills in half, have movie marathons all week long and set our own rules" Would be my response
That was until I spoke to mum that one day
"You wont have dad or I to help you. You and Charlotte would be on your own. Do you even know how to pay for bills?"
No was my answer. I've never had to pay bills before. Mum and dad have always payed for them I've never had to worry about a thing. Thats the best thing about living at home
"Hey what do you think about this place" Charlotte asks as we sit in class trying to waste time until the bell goes
"I like it where is it?"
"Faversham just down the road from me"
It was a town house with a a attic bedroom. This is where I allow myself to fantasize about living in other places other than my parents house. The price of the house scared me £700,000 very unrealistic for two broke girls going to college.
I did tell her if we were living at the college we could live together but we are not doing that
This is not America, we don't go away for college like they do or that how I things have been in my family
Mum went to the local college and she lived at home with grandma and grandad. There was no point to move out when the college was right on your doorstep.
I still played along with Charlottes fantasy because its good to have a dream, even when I know we may never make it a reality
