"Hi darling, how was your day?" Asks Larissa as I step into her office after my school day, as usual.

"It was good, what about yours?"

"It was very good, thank you."

I nod and sit at my usual seat. "So, do you have any plans for the weekend?" She asks after a moment of silence.

"Actually I do, yes." I reply. I'm not sure if I should tell her about Lou. But I don't know how I could hide it either.

"Do tell."

"Well, I uh, I'm going out with Lou." I say awkwardly. Her face drops immediately and she gets up from her seat. "What?"

"Yeah, I mean she texted me last week and asked if we could meet Friday night." I explain.

"And you said yes?!" She asks, chuckling in disbelief. When Larissa starts laughing in these kind of situations, it means she's mad.

"Well, yes I-"

She cuts me off. "Do you like her?"

"In what way?" I ask.

"Oh I think you know exactly in what way." She snarls.

"I don't know why you're making such a big deal out of this?!"

"BECAUSE SHE IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU!" She yells, slamming her hand on the table at the same time, making me flinch at the sudden tone change. I shake my head in disbelief.

"You don't get to tell me what to do. I think I can do that for myself." I say calmly.

"Oh really? I don't think you can." Her tone is almost degrading. I scoff at her words.

"I am nineteen, and the only person who decides who I'm going out with is me! ME! Is that so fucking hard to understand?!" I yell. Looks like keeping calm is not happening after all. She doesn't reply for a while, just looks at me, astonished. I take this as a chance to get out as quickly as possible. So I do, slamming the doors to her office as loudly as possible.

Friday night, 6:50pm. Lou's picking me up at 7. As I'm walking down the quiet halls of Nevermore, I can't help but feel a bit weird. Like I'm not alone. I look behind, no one. Maybe I'm just tired.

"Oh, you look gorgeous!" Lou says, greeting me with a hug as I enter the car.

"As do you. It's good to see you again." I say with a smile.

"Indeed it is. It's better that it's just the two of us, isn't it?"

"Yeah."

We drive to the restaurant, it's very fancy I must say. And Lou does look very good, she has a gorgeous red suit on.

We park the car, go inside and get escorted to our table by the valet. We thank him and sit down.

"So, how's things?" I ask her.

"Good. I must say I was a bit disappointed that you left so early last weekend, I really did have fun."

"Yeah, sorry about that... I thought it'd be for the best, Larissa was acting weird for the whole night for some reason..."

"Yeah I wonder why..." She mutters to herself sarcastically. But I still hear it.

"What do you mean?"

"Oh, nothing. So, how are you?" She asks, changing the subject.

"I'm good, thanks." And before I can say anything else, we're interrupted by the waitress.
