"Nevermore was created as a safe haven for our children, to learn and to grow, no matter who, or what they are." I watch my girlfriend with a proud smile as she speaks to the crowd.
"I realise most of you have heard about the unfortunate incident involving one of our students. But I'm happy to report that Eugene is on the mend, and is expected to make a full recovery." She continues, keeping a professional smile on her face, like there's no reason to worry about anything.
"So let's focus on the positive, and make this Parents' Weekend our very best yet!" The crowd applauds as Wednesday strides next to me.
"On the mend? Try in a coma." She crosses her arms.
I sigh, not really agreeing with the way Larissa's handling this either.
Wednesday averts her gaze to the other side of the quad. "I knew I should have worn my plague mask."
"That's them?" I ask, noticing the family now too.
She nods, "And yours?"
"My mother said she couldn't show up. But it's okay." I say, just imagining how it would've been like if my mother and Larissa were ever to be in a same room again.
"I suppose you could join me, therefore possibly lessening my suffering." She proposes, and a smirk threats to tug at my lips.
"Very well then." I nod, and we make our way to the gloomy family.
"There she is! Oh, how we've missed those accusing eyes and youthful sneer." A short man, I'm guessing her father, breaths out in excitement as he wraps his arms around my friend.
"How are you, my little rain cloud?" The taller woman with black hair asks with a small smile.
"I thought Thing was filling you in on my every move." Wednesday answers. "I uncovered your feeble subterfuge almost immediately."
The parents look at each other, the father smiles awkwardly. "So, how's the little fella doing? Does he still have all his fingers?"
"Relax. I haven't snapped any of his digits. Yet." Wednesday turns to look at me.
"Mother, Father, this is Y/N L/N. An accomplice I've made along the way." They all turn to look at me, I give them a small smile.
"How wonderful, my little viper! You've made a friend!" The man exclaims, extending his hand for me to shake. "Gomez Addams. It's nice seeing that Wednesday has company."
I smile at him, hearing the mother humming in thought. "Indeed. Morticia Addams, it's a pleasure."
We talk for a while there, Wednesday not seeming to be too interested in participating in the conversation.
"Wednesday, Principal Weems has requested our presence at her office. She said we need to discuss your path in Nevermore so far." Morticia announces, causing the pig-tailed raven to roll her eyes.
The taller woman turns to me, "Truly, it's been a pleasure meeting you, Y/N."

A few hours later, I'm with Yoko at the quad when I get the idea of seeing what Larissa is up to. After I came back to Nevermore and the whole thing that happened with Lou, we haven't been on the best terms. Though we haven't addressed it further than that one argument, the air still seems a bit icy.
I walk upstairs and to her office, and just as I'm about to knock on the door, someone bursts out of the room, and I almost get caught under the door.
"Wednesday?"
The raven turns around, scoffing, "I'm supposed to go to a family therapy session with that imbecile of a therapist. Right now."
"God, that sucks. Is there any way you could get out of that?" I suggest.
