And so the Outreach Day comes nearing it's end. Me, Yoko and Enid are sitting at the benches, listening to the Mayor's speech. Beside him is standing Ms Weems. The repulsive woman that's been stalking me. It's hard to just sit here and not yell at her. I'll get to that later.

The Mayor finishes his speech, showing us the statue of Joseph Crackstone. Someone even more repulsive. I actually felt sick to my stomach after hearing everything he's done to the outcasts. Wednesday told me. She also mentioned something about a plan, to end the Outreach Day in the right way. And I have a feeling that the plan is about to begin.

The band starts playing, everyone is cheering and listening to the music. Wednesday is playing her cello, eyeing her surroundings carefully. Like she's keeping an eye out for something, for someone. And she locks her eyes with whatever it is. I can't see it from this angle.

I'm one of the first people to notice a fire going through a long like of gasoline on the ground. And to my delight, the line ends at Crackstone's statue.

Boom.

A massive explosion, terrified people, smirking Wednesday. It's perfect. I love the chaos that's surrounding me.

Everyone starts running away, but I stay seated. I make eye contact with Wednesday, she smirks at me and I smirk back, winking at her.

But something in me tells me to go see if Larissa is okay. Even though I'm furious at that woman, I still need to know if she is safe. I get up from my seat, and soon, spot her, standing by a sign. It's almost like she had the same idea as I did, since now we're making eye contact. I nod at myself, now that I know the woman is okay, breaking the eye contact and walking in the opposite direction to go find my friends.

——

I take a deep breath in, standing by the office doors of the principal, contemplating through different thoughts. Trying to choose which option should I pick, to go in or to not go in.

Maybe I shouldn't do this...

No, Y/N, it's now or never.

But maybe she had a reason-

That's exactly why you should go in and ask her! Pull your shit together!

I sigh and place my hand on the door handle, not bothering to knock. The woman is sitting by her desk, focusing on her laptop. I don't think she heard me.

It is only when I close the door when she says something. "Learn to knock, it is very rude to just walk in. Now what do you n-" She cuts herself off as she finally raises her gaze from her laptop, to me. Her face drops and she immediately puts her work aside. "Y/N? What are you doing here?" She asks.

I give her a fake smile, sitting on the chair opposite to her. I know that I have her full attention right now.

"It's quite fascinating, isn't it?" I ask, amused.

"What is?" She seems to be confused.

"The other day I had a nice little chat with Ms Thornhill. She told me about different types of outcasts. You know, werewolves, vampires, psychics, shapeshifters..." I emphasize the last word, making the woman shift uncomfortably in her seat.

"Why are you telling me this?" She asks, as if she didn't already know the answer.

Oh, so we're playing that game. I can play dumb too.

"Well, I don't know. Just thought you'd want to know about my progress here, of how I'm succeeding in my subjects and all that..." I say, acting bored and raising my hand to look at my nails instead of the woman.
