It was now morning, and the others still have yet to return, causing me to worry even more than I already was as I glanced at everyone in the common room. Our defenses are weakened, plus we have strangers with us.

I walked over to the cell block's stairs and sat down next to Beth as she held the baby. I really need to find out what her name is. I gazed up as I heard the sound of a door opening, as Carl went to unlock the door, Rick and Hershel walking in. They're back.

Rick walked over to the two of us as Beth stood up, meeting him halfway and handing him the baby. I glanced behind them as the others began piling in and saw Glenn was beat up pretty bad. I frowned, hating that I stayed behind instead of making Rick let me go with them.

As Maggie and Glenn made their way into their cell, I walked over to Carol, confused. "Where's Oscar and Daryl?" I glanced around, not seeing any sign of the two.

"Oscar didn't make it." Carol looked at me for a moment before giving me a sad smile. "And Daryl left with his brother."

I frowned at what she said. "Left with his brother, what do you mean?"

She let out a deep sigh. "Rick said his brother was at Woodbury and Daryl wouldn't leave him if he couldn't stay with us at the prison."

"So-" I took a moment to process everything. "So he's not coming back?"

I watched as she gave me a nod, causing me to bite my lip. "I'm sorry, (Y/N)." Carol apologized.

I nodded my head, feeling my throat getting sore. "I see." My voice cracked as I turned to make my way to my cell. "I think imma lay down for a bit." I mumbled to Carol. I went into my cell, standing there as I felt a few tears in my eyes. "You asshole..."

The next day, Carl told Glenn about how Tyreese and his group got into the prison. "Now you said you guys found Tyreese's group here?" Glenn pointed to the boiler room on a map he drew on the ground.

"Yeah." The two of us replied.

Glenn looked at us, confused. "We secured this."

"That's what I'm trying to understand." I replied.

Carl pointed to another spot on the map. "He thought he came through here."

"Means there's another breach." Glenn confirmed, troubled. "Okay. The whole front of the prison is insecure. If Walkers just strolled in, then it's gonna be a cake for a group of armed men."

"Why are we even so sure he's going to attack?" Beth asked Glenn. From what the others said, this Governor guy wants the prison for himself, to kick us out by any means necessary. "Maybe you scared him off."

I doubt that. "He had fish tanks full of heads. Walkers and humans. Trophies." The woman, who I learned was Michonne, spoke up. "He's coming."

"We should hit him now." Glenn suggested, looking at us. "He won't be expecting it. We'll sneak back in and out a bullet in his head."

Carol looked to Glenn, not liking the idea. "We're not assassins."

I looked at Glenn, holding a hand up. "We don't have that much manpower either. Not with how Rick is right now, he's unstable."

Ignoring the two of us, he glanced at Michonne. "You know where his apartment is. Me, you, and (Y/N) could end this tonight. I'll do it myself." Michonne nodded after a moment, agreeing. "Okay."

"He didn't know you were coming the last time and look what happened." Hershel told Glenn. "You were almost killed, Daryl was captured, and you and Maggie were almost executed." He explained, looking at Michonne, then back to Glenn.

Glenn walked over to Hershel. "You can't stop me."

"Rick would never allow this." Hershel told him.

"Look, (Y/N)'s right. You really think he's in any position to make that choice?" Glenn asked Hershel.

Glenn, Carl, and I checked the tombs, only to find too many Walkers down there and left us with no choice but to head back to C block. Knowing the Governor could show up any time, and with Walkers flooding the tombs, the choice to stay or leave was becoming difficult.

Eventually, we decided to set up lookout points, and places to hide so we can fight back. If it's one thing, this group would not go down easily, and we won't let the Governor have this prison easily either.

I made my way out into the field, walking over to Michonne. "I wanna thank you for sticking around and helping us."

She looked at me, giving me a nod. "I want the Governor dead as much as you guys do."

I nodded my head. "I can roll with that."

A gunshot rang in the air, causing Michonne and I to hide behind the bus. Glancing over the side, I saw a car with a few men standing about. I noticed one guy had a patch over his eye. "The Governor, I presume?" I nodded at the man.

"The one and only." Michonne glared at the man as gunfire began to ensue. I glanced to the right, seeing Rick taking cover by the man-made walkway and Hershel lying on the ground by the fence.

After a couple minutes of rapid gunfire, it stopped at the sound of a vehicle coming. I looked towards where the road was and saw a big truck come crashing into the gates and into the yard.

It circled into the middle of the yard, stopping for a moment before the ramp on the back fell down. The man who was driving the truck ran towards us as Walkers piled out of the truck, shooting as he ran out the gates.

I stood up, taking my knife out of its sheath as I ran to Hershel. "Go, I'll cover you!" I shouted, stabbing one of the Walkers. I ducked down as a gun started shooting off bullets, trying to stay clear of fire.

Once the gunfire ceased, I looked up and saw the car driving away, allowing me to focus on the Walkers. I stayed close to Hershel and killed any that got close as Glenn's truck pulled in. I heard gunfire once more as Walkers around us began to drop to the ground, allowing time for Hershel to Glenn's truck.

"(Y/N), come on!" Glenn shouted, turning to me.

I shook my head, stabbing a Walker and pointing at the fence. "Rick's still out there!"

"He can come in through the hole in the gate!" Glenn replied back, killing another Walker.

I glanced at where Rick is, surrounded by Walkers. "He can't fight all of them alone!"

"All we can do is hope he does, but we gotta go now." Glenn rushed over and ragged me over to the truck.

Hesitating, I looked at the Walkers surrounding us before climbing into the truck. Glenn drove towards the top of the hill, pulling into the gate as Carl rushed to close it. I got out of the truck to see everyone was alright.

"Everyone alright?!" Rick shouted as we all turned from the sound of footsteps. I noticed with him was none other than Daryl and another guy, who I'm assuming was his brother. I went back over to the truck, opting to stay over there.

"Yeah, but what are we gonna do now?" Glenn asked him, gesturing to the field we lost.

"For now, let's just head inside. We'll make a plan in the morning." Rick finalized, ushering everyone in. I watched as everyone made their way inside, waiting for the door to close before going to the watchtower.
