"Damn it!" I muttered as I ran, dodging a couple of Walkers. I stopped for a moment, stabbing one as I rounded a corner. "I'm warning you, I will fucking shoot you!"
I watched as Lamson moved away from the car, glancing at me for a moment before taking off again. God, what is it with people and running...
I mentally groaned before hearing growling, looking behind me and seeing three Walkers coming my way. I quickly began taking out the Walkers as two more came out from an open door.
I heard footsteps running towards me, letting out a sigh of relief as I saw Rick. "He ran that way!" I shouted, pointing in the direction Lamson ran as I killed the last one.
Rick ran over to the car, hopping in the driver's seat. "Come on!"
Not wasting a second, I ran around the car, getting in the passenger side as Rick started the car, pulling off. We caught up to Lamson as Rick grabbed the walkie, talking through the car. "Stop right now. Stop."
"Want me to shoot him?" I asked, looking at Rick.
He shook his head, glaring ahead. "No... we need him."
"I won't ask again." Rick tried again. As Lamson kept running, Rick threw the walkie down, stepping harder on the gas. Rick slammed into Lamson, hitting the break as he fell to the ground.
Getting out of the car, I walked with Rick towards Lamson. "Help me. You crazy- you crazy son of a bitch." Lamson gasped out. "I think you- I think you broke my back."
"Lot better than what I had in mind." I spoke up, crossing my arms. "I was gonna shoot you."
"Didn't have to be like this. You just had to stop." Rick told Lamson, not feeling sorry in the slightest.
"I couldn't. I don't know you." Lamson replied.
"That's Rick." I pointed to Rick as if it were obvious. "There, now you know him."
Rick just gave me a look before looking back to Lamson as he continued. "But I think- I think I'm getting the idea."
Rick crouched down. "You just had to stop."
"Take me back." He spoke up as Walkers were growing closer. "Take me back to the hospital. I did it for your friend."
"Not after this, no." Rick shook his head.
I glanced over to Rick. "What do you want to do?"
Rick shook his head, unsure. "I was gonna iron it over. She's under it. And you've been out here too long." Rick pulled his gun out, aiming at Lamson.
"You'll die. You'll all-"
Rick pulled the trigger, ending his sentence. "Shut up." Rick looked to the Walkers, putting his gun away. "Let's go."
Rick pulled off, driving back to the building. As we pulled in and walked into the building, we made our way upstairs. Rick threw open the door, causing everyone to look in our direction.
Rick met Daryl and walked off to the side as I made my way over to Sasha. "Are you okay?" I crouched in front of her, glancing at her head.
She nodded her head, giving me a reassuring look. "Yeah, I'm fine."
I let out a sigh, feeling guilty. "Sorry I didn't act sooner... I didn't realize he was going to do that."
"He played us both for fools." She replied, looking down slightly. "Should've known he was lying to get me to let my guard down."
"Well, it's dealt with." I told her, standing back up as I glanced at the other two cops. "Hopefully the plan still works."
I turned my head as Rick and Daryl made their way over. "He was a good man." The woman spoke, glancing up to Rick. "He was attacked by Rotter's. Saw it go down."
