Wondering

I walked beside Glenn, glancing over to Maggie before looking back at him. "Has she spoken to you any?"

Glenn looked over at me before looking over to Maggie for a moment, shaking his head as he looked back down to the ground. "No..."

I slowly nodded, understanding. Maggie shut down after Atlanta. I glanced over my shoulder slightly, to where everyone else is. So has Sasha... I turned back forward, letting out a hum. "I'm worried about her, Sasha too. Plus, not having time to rest isn't helping."

"We'll find something soon." Glenn rasped out, looking over to me with a small smile. "I'm sure of it."

I let out a small snort. "How are you always so optimistic, even at a time like this?" I raised an eyebrow. "That's one of the good qualities you have and bring to this group. So don't go getting sad on us, okay?"

Glenn rolled his eyes at me before letting out a small chuckle. "Yeah, okay."

"I'm serious." I looked at him. "We need your sunshiny-ness around. It keeps us going."

Without another word, the both of us continued on with the rest. "I'm gonna head out." Daryl spoke up, holding his gun out for Rick to take. "See what I can find."

"Hey, don't be too long." Rick told him, taking the gun and slinging it over his shoulder.

"I'll go with you." Carol spoke up.

Daryl began walking off towards the tree-line. "I got it."

"You gonna stop me?" She asked, following after him. He turned to look at her, not bothering in arguing and continued walking. I let out a small chuckle at that. He's learned to never argue with Carol. What she says, goes.

As the two went off, the rest of us continued on walking. "How's Mini me and his sister been holding up?" I spoke up, coming up beside Rick.

He turned to me with an amused glance. "Mini me?"

"Yeah." I nodded, motioning behind me. "Future sheriff over there, he acts like you and wears the lucky sheriffs hat twenty four seven. If it weren't the end of the world, I'm sure he would've turned out just like you did." He shook his head, chuckling. "Don't tell me you've never seen Austin Power's before?" I fake gasped.

"No, I have." He assured me, glancing back at Carl. "Just can't believe you remember that movie at a time like this."

"When there's nothing to do, I reminisce about the old days, even if it's about a movie I've seen." I replied, letting out a sigh. "It's the small things like that that I miss the most."

Rick nodded his head, adjusting Judith in his arms. "You're right about that."

"What's something you miss from the old days?" I asked, glancing in front of us as we walked.

"Gotta be a good burger and milkshake." Rick replied, not wasting a second.

It was my turn to snort, glancing at him with an eyebrow raised. "Seriously?"

He nodded his head. "Yeah, when I was on call, sometimes Shane and I would get burgers from this one place in town and talk about our days in school."

I nodded my head, surprised he brought up Shane at all. "Fair enough. I glanced down at Judith. "Sometimes I envy Judith, because she doesn't know what things were like before. She won't have to think about the things we've lost."

Rick nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah, but I wish she could've seen it."

I nodded my head. "Yeah, that would've been nice. All any of us can do now is show her as much as we can with what we have left."

We came to a stop at a bridge, standing on one side as Rick, Glenn, Michonne, Abraham, Maggie, and Sasha stood in place with the approaching herd of Walkers.

I watched as they pushed them down the hill, not fighting back as I glanced around, making sure none would come at us from behind. Everything was going fine, until Sasha grabbed hold of one.

Instead, she stabbed it in the head, causing the rest to pull out their weapons and fight, riling the herd up even more. "Damn it." I muttered.

I glanced over to Rosita and Maggie, receiving a nod from them as I rushed over to the others, taking my knife out before helping out. I saw Glenn get knocked to the ground and went to help him up as Rick killed one of the Walkers.

"Rick!" I exclaimed, seeing one about to take a bite out of his arm, when Daryl appeared, throwing it off him.

Once all were dead, Michonne pointed at Sasha. "I told you to stop."

"What the hell is your deal?" I asked, frustrated with how she's been acting.

"(Y/N), don't." Glenn reached out to stop me.

"No." I shrugged his arm off, walking up to her. "Look, I understand that you lost Bob and your brother, but you're being reckless. We've all lost people, too many to count. But what you're doing is not only putting you at risk, but the rest of us."

"(Y/N), let's all just calm down." Rick advised, motioning to me and Michonne.

"Sorry Rick, but no." I told him, glancing over at him. "Someone has to say it, so I'll do it before it gets someone else killed." I muttered, glancing back at Sasha, who was looking at me in disbelief before I walked off back to the others.

I heard the others following behind me as Rick took point once more. "Let's go."

We continued walking for another hour, when Carl spoke up. "Dad, look."

Glancing ahead of us, we saw some cars. "I'm gonna head into the woods, circle back." Daryl told Rick, causing me to raise a brow in question.

"May I come with?" Carol asked him.

"No." Daryl told her before walking off. "No, just me."

I watched as he walked off, getting a feeling something was up. It wasn't too long ago that he went into the woods and now he was going off again. Shaking the thought off for now, I decided to ask later as I walked over to one of the cars, looking in it.

Not seeing anything of use, we walked for a little longer, stopping to rest for a while and for Daryl to catch up. As if summoned, the sound of a twigs snapping alerted us as Daryl came out.

He stopped and nodded at Rick, who shook his head in reply. That definitely told me something was up. Daryl walked over to which I greeted with a nod. He came to sit beside me. "So, mind telling me what that was about?"

"What was what?" He asked, looking at me.

I raised an eyebrow. "What are you looking for out there?" I whispered, nodding to the woods, making sure no one heard me. "Or is it a who?"

He glanced at me for a moment, opening his mouth to speak when we heard growling. Though this time, it wasn't a Walker's growl.
