While Rick, Michonne, Sasha and Bob went with Gabriel to scavenge what they could from the food bank, I stayed behind with the orders in case anyone showed up. Meanwhile, Carol and Daryl went to get water as Maggie, Tara, and Glenn went to a weapons store nearby.

I sat outside on the steps, glancing at the woods that surrounded us, hearing how quiet it was here. It was no wonder Gabriel hadn't had much problems with Walkers, it's curious how someone who has not a single weapon on him survived this long, but now it made sense.

Hearing a noise, I glanced around, seeing Rick's group came back with a couple carts of goods to show. "Looks like you guys hit the jackpot there."

Rick nodded as I stood up to help load it all inside. "We did." Tyreese came over with Judith in his arms, asking Sasha how it went as Rick turned to him, looking confused. "Where's Carl?"

Tyreese nodded his head behind him. "He's out back."

"Man..." I whispered out, lying a box on the ground. "This food could last us for a few days, maybe even a couple weeks."

"You right about that." Tyreese replied, Sasha nodding her head in agreement.

A few minutes later, Glenn, Maggie, and Tara came in with a few weapons and silencers. "Oh my god... food." Glenn whispered out, glancing at the pile we had set up.

I let out a chuckle, clapping his back as I passed him. "Don't go pigging out now, save some for the rest of us."

He turned to me, fake hurt. "I would never..."

"I know you wouldn't." I smiled, walking off and noticed that Carol and Daryl hadn't come back yet, starting to worry me. I decided to take my mind off it and I offered to get the dinner set up and asked Gabriel where some dishes were.

Taking a few cans from the haul today, I did the best I could in warming the food by lighting some candles and holding the cans over the flames for a few minutes. I then placed them into serving bowls and grabbed some plates we could use as everyone began coming inside, excited for the meal.

As everyone began grabbing food, I decided to light more candles, that way we could see as it began to get dark just as Carol and Daryl made it back.

"Everything go okay?" I asked the two as they set the water jugs down.

"Yeah, found a car and got it working." Carol replied, glancing towards where the others were gathered. "Left it in case things go south here."

I nodded my head as the three of us went to get our plates. After getting mine, I made my way to a pew and sat down.

"I'd like to propose a toast." Abraham spoke up, silencing everyone. "I look around this room... and I see survivors. Each and every one of you has earned that title. To the survivors."

"Survivors! Cheers!" Everyone replied, raising their cups.

"Is that all you want to be?" Abraham asked us all. "Wake up in the morning, fight the undead pricks, forage for food, go to sleep at night with two eyes open, rinse and repeat?"

I thought about that question, wondering if it was or not. Sure, everyday is a struggle to survive and I never wanted my life to turn out fighting the dead... but do I want things to go back to how they were? Thing is, I've gotten so used to this life we live in now, that I don't know if I or any one of us can go back to the way things used to be.

"Cause you can do that. I mean, you got the strength. You got the skill." I brought my attention back to what Abraham was saying. "Thing is, for you people, for what you can do, that's just surrender. Now we get Eugene to Washington and he will make the dead die and the living will have this world again. And that is not a bad takeaway for a little road trip. Eugene, what's in DC?"
