My Act Of Defence

Chapter 8

Kane's POV

The next morning, I decide to go to my older brother, hoping that he will give me a good advice.

His apartment is only a short walk from mine, so I reach it very quickly, and I knock on the door.

Lavon opens the door, and he smiles when he sees me.

We are quite close, but we don't spent as much time together as we used to, since he has a family now, and he doesn't have much time to hang out with me.

But that's what happens if you have three babies, so I'm not that upset, since I know that I will be next.

"Hi." He says.

"Hey." I say, and he lets me inside of his apartment, then we go to sit on the couch.

"I need an advice." I tell him after a while of silence.

"What's wrong?" He asks me, so I tell him everything, and when I'm done, he is glaring at me.

"Why the hell would you beat the Alpha's kid?" He asks me, and then he punches me on the back of my head, making me wince slightly, since I didn't expect that.

"Because his family is gay." I tell him, with annoyance clear in my voice.

"And?" He asks me, and I frown.

"And that's not right, it's disgusting." I tell him, I really can't believe that he can't see how disgusting that is.

"Well, you're gay now. Does that mean that you're disgusting, and that I should beat you for having a male mate?" He asks me.

"I didn't choose to be gay, the Moon Goddess just decided to make my life as hard as it can be, and yes, I'm disgusted with the fact that my mate is male." I tell him angrily.

"Do you think that they had chosen to be mated to another man?" He asks me, and I shrug.

"They didn't, I know that some of them weren't happy at all about the fact that their mate is a man, but they have accepted it, and you should too." He tells me.

I look away, and I consider what I should tell him, but before I can come up with a response, he starts to speak again.

"Now be a man, and go apologise to your mate, you should beg him for forgiveness." He tells me, and I note in my mind that I shouldn't ask my brother what I should do.

Next time that I will need an advice, I will go to my friends.

I nod my head, and I stand up to walk out of the apartment, he doesn't follow me, so I just close the door behind me, then I go down the stairs, and out of the pack house.

I decide to sit under one of the trees, and I put my face in my hands, then I sigh in frustration.

I really don't have any idea what I should do, I think that my brother is right, and that I should apologise to my mate, but I don't think that I will be able to be with him.
