My Act Of Defence

Chapter 44

Wyatt's POV

I got bored of waiting on Kane to come back from school, so I decided that we will have a date today.

I still have no idea where we will go, but I hope that he will be alright with driving us somewhere nice and quiet.

I never really went anywhere other than the school, so I don't know this city at all.

Now I'm making some salad for us, along with other snacks to eat, and when I'm done with everything, I pack it in the boxes which I put in a plastic bag, and then I put everything in the fridge, since Kane won't be here for a few more minutes.

And I decide to watch some TV, while I'm waiting.

Soon the front door opens, so I turn the TV off, and I stand up to give Kane a hug.

"I'm hungry." He tells me, and I chuckle.

"That's good, because I have some food." I tell him, and he smiles brightly.

"But you have to drive us somewhere nice if you want to get it." I tell him, and he groans.

"Do you think that I know any nice places?" He asks me with an arched eyebrow.

"Well, if you don't, then we will find somewhere on our way." I tell him, and he agrees, so I go to the fridge, and I take the plastic bag that is almost full of food, then we go outside, and to the pack house, since our car is parked there.

When we resch it, we quickly climb in, and Kane starts to drive towards the pack border.

I don't like to be in a car, since it makes me feel sick most of the times, and I was more than happy when I finished the high school, and I knew that I won't have to be in a car ever again, if I don't wish to.

But I want to have some nice time with my mate, and the pack lands are getting boring, so a trip to the city will be nice.

We manage to find some park, so we climb out of the car, and we try find some nice place to sit.

It weird that I can see people, that I have never seen before, wherever I look, I guess I relay forgot how many people are living in this city, and I don't even know anyone who wasn't in my class, when I was in high school.

We eat the salad happily, and then we decide to stay here for a while longer, but soon it starts to get dark, so I take the rest of the snacks out, and we eat them, before we decide that it's time to go back to the house.

When we get back it's already dark, and I know that papa and dad won't be happy that we were out for this long, especially if I will tell them that we weren't in the pack lands.

But know that even if I won't tell them, then they will find out some other way soon.

So, I sigh to myself, then I take my mate's hand, before I open the front door, and were instantly greeted with angry papa.
