Kane's POV

The Alpha opens the door, and he frowns when he sees me, I was hoping that anyone else's that lives here will open it, but it seems that luck isn't on my side.

"Wyatt isn't here, he should be on the training grounds." He tells me, so I nod.

"Thanks Alpha." I say, and I turn around to walk away, so he closes the front door behind him, and I go towards the training grounds.

At least he didn't threaten me or something, although I'm sure that he wanted too, the way that he was looking at me said enough.

So, I don't waste the time, and I decide to go as quickly as I can, so he won't be able to catch up with me if he decides that he wants to talk with me some more.

Although I think that I won't be able to hide from him, after he will hear from Wyatt that I have rejected him.

But I will have to deal with it then, right now I have to make sure that I won't be losing my friends, and I will have to figure out some way to make the mate bond go away.

I guess that I will have to live without a mate, and the thought makes me uncomfortable, but I know hat it's because of the bond, I don't even know Wyatt, so shouldn't have any feelings towards him.

When I reach the clearing, I spot Wyatt right away, he's sitting on the other side of the clearing, so I go there, and I sit next to him.

"Hi." He tells me, and it feels very weirs to hear his voice I wonder if he talks to anyone else, but I doubt that, because his voice still sounds like he had never used it before.

Although it seems that it's getting easier for him to talk, since I have forced him to talk to me for hours the last time that we saw each other .

I look at him, but I don't answer, and then his smile disappears, so I look away,  and I decide to play with the grass.

"I don't think that we will work out." I tell him, I wanted to end things between us harshly, but now I think that I should be gentler about it, mostly because he's the son of an Alpha, and I want him to convince his father to not be angry at me.

"Why?" He asks.

"Because I don't feel anything for you, and I'm not attracted to guys, so I don't have any idea what the Moon Goddess was thinking while she paired us together, but it won't work." I say, half lying, and then I look at him.

"I think that we should stay friends, because even thought you don't like it, the mate bond will eventually force us to be together." He explains hopefully, but I shake my hand.

"It won't work out Wyatt." I say with a sad smile.

"Are you rejecting me?" He asks me, and I nod in agreement reluctantly.

"I'm rejecting you." I say, and he looks away from me, then I can see the he nods in acknowledgement, so I stand up, and I walk away from him.
