Chapter 39

Kane's POV

Today is a training day again, so I'm forced to sit alone in the house.

I was considering if I should go to the trainings with Wyatt, but I have decided that it's not worth it, since I really hate to be around the big crowds of people.

And I wouldn't be able to talk to Wyatt anyway, since we won't be able to fight together, because of the fact that I'm much more experienced that him.

But I think that it would be a good idea to ask Carter if I could be an instructor, or I could go to the training for the people that had completed the basic training, but I'm not a fan of that either.

So, I look at the TV, and I eat my sandwich slowly, until there's a knock on the door.

I frown, since I didn't expect anyone to be here at this time, but I decide to open the door, to see what this person wants.

I smile brightly when I see my brother with one of his kids, then my niece comes over to hug me.

I consider if I should invite them in, since it's not my house, and I don't think that I have ever seen anyone that isn't the Alpha's family here.

But before I can come up with what to do, my niece decides to asks me a question.

"Do you want to come with us for a walk?" She asks me excitedly, and even if I didn't want to go, I think that I wouldn't be able to say no to her.

"Sure." I say, and I put her down, so I can put my shoes on.

When I'm done, I go outside, and I lock the door behind me, then I turn to look at my brother, but after I do it, I realise that the rest of his family is here too, along with my sister.

So, I smile again, and I go towards them to greet everyone.

Then we decide to go a bit into the woods, since most of the people are at the training, so there shouldn't be many people at the other clearings.

We go through the forest, and I have to answer million of stupid questions that my niece and nephews are asking.

Which is a bit frustrating, but I know that I was a lot worse when I was a kid, and my brother was answering all the questions that I asked, so I can't complain.

Soon we reach the clearing, and the kids immediately tell us that we will be playing soccer.

Then they run away from us to get a ball, that is laying not far from us.

"I want to meet your mate." My brother tells me.

"You will meet him soon, I forgot that I didn't introduce the two of you to each other yet." I say, and he nods.

"Yeah, I can't believe that you could forget about something this important." He says, and he smacks me on the back of my head playfully.
