Ch 0 - In the Beginning

And on the seventh day He rested. But the angels were restless and started arguing with each other until their leader spoke up. He was taller than the others and had an air of authority. His words were clear even though he purposefully spoke in a quieter voice. "Please be quiet, He's trying to rest."

The angel, who had just been put in charge of the moon and celestials, scoffed. "Who put you in charge, Joon?" Several of the other angels snickered at those words, but when they saw the look of seriousness on Namjoon's face, they quickly stopped.

Namjoon looked over at the beautiful angel with the full lips and for a second considered what it would feel like to touch those lips with his own. "He announced it. You were standing right here, Jin." Namjoon quirked an eyebrow at the beauty, and stood there waiting for a response.

Several angels giggled again as they watched Jin narrow his eyes at the one who everyone knew was put in charge. "I was born one minute earlier than you and you know what that means," Jin stated. He then embarked on a diatribe that lasted several minutes. Jin would have kept talking, but was startled by Namjoon pulling the angel to him.

Jin's eyes widened as Namjoon's face was a mere inch away, and he could feel Joon's warm breath on his face. "Hyung, I know you are older. You are the first and especially beloved." Namjoon stared into the older angel's eyes for a second before clarifying his statement. Clearing his throat, Namjoon gazed longingly at Jin's lips and said, "Beloved by Him and all of your brothers, of course."

Jin took a step back and looked to his side to find that his fellow angels had all disappeared. All except one that is. The angel in charge of the ground and plants watched the other two with a smirk on his face. Jin scowled at this angel, "Yoongi why are you still here? Don't you have work to do?"

"This is more entertaining. Besides, I really thought for a second you two would kiss. And I didn't want to miss that." The angel known as Yoongi, still with a smirk on his face, glanced between the other two. "But if that's all you've got, I guess I'll head to Earth and start decorating the place." And just like that, he disappeared.

Meanwhile, standing outside the room but secretly watching the whole scene, three other angels started giggling. The shorter one started making kissing faces causing the other two to double over with laughter. Namjoon and Jin turned in their direction and glared at them. "Jimin, stop. You're going to get us in trouble," the beautiful angel with the chiseled jaw became serious. The three angels looked at each other and then broke out into a fresh wave of giggles.

From inside the room, Namjoon's voice washed over them, "Get to work! It's not a rest day for you three. Hoseok, the sun needs your energy. Jimin, there are numerous creatures on Earth that are waiting to evolve. And Taehyung, go check on those two beings in the garden. I have a feeling they're going to be trouble."

The three friends looked at each other and giggled once more before the smaller one got a serious look on his face. "Hobi, will you be able to come visit us on Earth sometime?" Jimin asked. The three angels were close friends, and none of them was excited to start the work that would keep them separated.

Namjoon and Jin walked over to the three angels, holding hands. When the three friends noticed the pair's entwined hands, it almost caused them to start giggling again. However before they could start, Jin spoke up. "Hobi, you and I can work together to make sure we get to visit all of our friends, OK?"

Hoseok nodded his head in agreement, and was about to speak but was interrupted by Namjoon. "Jin, you don't have to stay on the moon all the time, and Hobi doesn't have to stay on the sun the whole time. We can all visit with each other back here or at any of the new locations that He made. Once everything takes off, we'll just have to make sure things are running smoothly." Namjoon looked at the four angels and his eyes landed on Jin in particular. "I'll come visit each of you to see how things are going. And of course you can call me any time you need to talk."

Jin and Namjoon stared at each other until Jin noticed that the three were gawking at them. Clearing his throat, he turned to them and said, "You heard Joon, get to work. And stop staring!" With those words, the three angels said goodbye to each other and headed to their new jobs.

"Bye Joonie. Be sure to visit me whenever you can." Jin blew Namjoon a kiss and disappeared. Namjoon stood silently for a minute shaking his head, before heading off to start his own work. It was going to be a busy time and he had numerous lists to make before the day was done. Plus he needed to make a schedule that included time to visit his fellow angels, particularly Jin.

Down on Earth, Taehyung and Jimin arrived to find that Yoongi had been busy decorating. There were now jungles and deserts, forests and swamps, mountains and valleys. It really looked beautiful. Taehyung squeezed Jimin's hand, "Are you going to find Yoongi and work with him?" The beautiful angel glanced over at his adorable, petite friend. It was known amongst the angels that Yoongi had a bit of a crush on Jimin.

Jimin replied, "I probably should before he changes much more. I need to help the animals adapt to these new environments he's created."

Taehyung smirked at his friend, "And hang out with Yoongi." He knew that his friend loved spending time with the older angel. He might not admit that he reciprocated the crush, but it was obvious that Jimin loved the attention that Yoongi showed him.

Jimin turned a little pink and replied, "I don't know what you mean." Jimin thought it was obvious that he would have to work closely with Yoongi and told himself that it was just part of the job. And he really did enjoy bickering with the occasionally grumpy angel.

The two were standing in the garden watching over the two beings called Adam and Eve, who were sprawled out naked upon a bed of grass. The man was snoring and Taehyung rolled his eyes and turned towards Jimin. "I can't believe I have to hang out here and watch these two. It's going to be so boring."

Jimin shrugged his shoulders and suggested that Tae join him instead. "They're sleeping. What trouble could they get into?"

Taehyung nodded his head and decided to go with Jimin. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to leave them alone for a little while." So the two friends took off towards the desert to get started on adapting animals to the new environment.

Meanwhile in the garden, a former colleague of theirs watched from behind a tree. As soon as the two angels disappeared, he turned to the couple who were still sleeping. A slow smile crept across Chan's face as he formulated a plan. He then changed into a serpent, slithered up a fruit tree, and waited for the couple to awake.
