Taehyung didn't want to let go of Jungkook's hands, especially as he saw the tears streaming down his love's face. However, as soon as he got the summons for his trial, he could feel his body being pulled out the door. He knew that there was no use resisting. His heart broke as he saw Jungkook fall to his knees, weeping. He caught Jin's eyes as he was pulled upwards and a nod that told him that Jin would make sure Jungkookie would be okay while he was away.

To say that he hadn't thought about his impending trial would be a lie. However lately he and Jungkook had managed to put it in the back of their minds, instead focusing on enjoying their time together. As he was pulled up towards heaven, Taehyung's mind flashed through the various arguments that he and his friends had discussed over the past three years. He really only had one defense, and that was what he was planning to go with.

In the large, luminous space that served as the courtroom, Taehyung saw several familiar faces. Namjoon stood tall at the center looking resolute. Jimin stood on Taehyung's side along with Yoongi and Hobi. The three of them looked to be in various states of unease, with Jimin and Hobi both appearing waxen and tired, as if they hadn't eaten or rested in days.

On the other side of the room, a dozen other angels were there to witness the proceeding, chatting quietly amongst themselves while glancing across the room. Taehyung knew all of them, but he was only close to a couple. He caught his friend, Sungjae's, eyes for a moment and nodded at him. It had been a very long time since the two spent time together. Beside him was another friend, Minho. The two angels immediately cast their eyes downward, unable to hold eye contact with the accused angel.

Namjoon nodded for Taehyung to take his place on the dais at the front of the room. Once he was situated on the platform, a booming voice announced the trial commencement, causing all the angels to cease whispering.

Namjoon stood to the side and presented the charges, "Taehyung, you stand accused of violating His law. You are charged with one count of adultery, as the secondary charge has been dismissed. How do you plead?"

Trembling slightly, Taehyung stated, "I plead innocent." Several angels on the opposite side from his close friends began whispering.

Clearing his throat to once again silence the witnesses, Namjoon began, "Your plea has been noted and your trial will commence immediately." Namjoon looked like he wanted no part of this trial, but unfortunately he had a job to do. So he proceeded to present the case against Taehyung. While going over the facts of the case, Namjoon attempted to avoid any salacious details. He could already hear the whispering growing louder and was becoming irritable. Namjoon paused momentarily and looked at the dozen angels across the room. "If you can not be silent during this trial, I will send you all away. Do I make myself clear?"
