While the angels were deep into their discussions, Jungkook managed to find a few minutes in his class schedule to pull Yeonjun aside and question him about the argument he had the previous night. "I know you're not telling me everything, just spill it. Does Soobin have a problem with Taehyung and his friends?"
Yeonjun internally debated how much to tell Jungkook. He decided to come clean, knowing that Jungkook would be able to tell if he was hiding anything. "I don't ask a lot of questions, even though I am curious, but Soobin does not have that filter." Yeonjun watched as Jungkook knitted his brows as if preparing for an argument. "We both know that there are strange things about the hyungs, and I think you know more than you let on."
Jungkook chewed on his lip. "You're right to not ask," Jungkook stated flatly. He thought for a moment about how to approach this subject, and the only solution he could see was to question whether Yeonjun was happy with his current situation. "You like living with Hyung, right?" He watched as Yeonjun nodded eagerly before continuing. "You like having a scholarship to pursue dance, right?"
Yeonjun was grateful to what Taehyung had provided both him and Jungkook. He opened the door to many opportunities that just a few months ago seemed so far away. "Of course, I appreciate Hyung more than I can fully express. He's helped me in so many ways, I'll never be able to repay him."
Jungkook agreed completely. Taehyung had also changed his life, and never expected anything in return. Jungkook still couldn't fathom how he became this lucky. "You and me both. We are forever in-debt to him, but yet he wants nothing from us other than that we do well and make the world better through our art."
Yeonjun nodded, "Taehyung is the most selfless person I've ever met." After a few seconds he continued, "But Soobin doesn't know him like we do, and I can't control what comes out of his mouth. All I can do is threaten him with lack of sex," Yeonjun stated. The two friends looked at each other and started laughing. "I told him last night that he was being rude and if he kept it up he'd be sleeping back at his dorm." Yeonjun grew serious, "I've been hesitant to tell him all the things Hyung did for me, because he would probably just question him more."
Jungkook considered this and nodded in agreement. "Probably best not to tell him. Besides, we both know Tae wouldn't want more people to know anyway." He looked down at his watch and realized he had to run to class. "Just try to reign him in. I don't want a repeat of last night, especially if any more of Taehyung's friends show up."
Yeonjun's eyes grew wider, "Are we expecting more?"
"I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe if more show up, plan to spend some nights at the dorm with Soobin, yeah?" The two friends nodded in agreement. Jungkook gave his friend a quick hug before continuing, "I've got to run. See you tonight."

After classes Jungkook headed back to the apartment to check on his boyfriend. He needed to get some studio time in, but found his mind preoccupied. A growing sense of unease distracted him from classes all afternoon. As soon as he opened the door, he could hear muffled sobs. He dropped his book bag and ran to the living room where he found the three angels huddled together crying.
"What the ..." Jungkook stopped himself from saying the h-e-double toothpick word. He knew Taehyung was sensitive to certain words. When his love glanced up at him, Jungkook saw that his eyes were red-rimmed and puffy, as if he'd been crying for awhile. It caused Jungkook's heart to simultaneously seize and break at the same time.
Hobi's hands reached out to Tae and attempted to wipe away his tears. When Jungkook saw the new angel try to comfort his love, an irrational anger grew in the pit of his stomach. "Get your hands off of him! What did you do?!"
Jungkook quickly pulled Taehyung up and placed himself between his love and the other angels. He then turned around and embraced his angel, peppering his face with soft kisses. "Whatever it is, we can work it out," Jungkook whispered.
Hoseok and Jimin were still seated on the couch with their arms around each other. Hobi looked up towards Jungkook and apologized, "I'm sorry, but I had to tell him. He has a right to know."
Jungkook wheeled on the new angel, "You should have stayed away. I don't know what you did, but nobody gets to make my baby cry like this!" He saw that his words caused Hoseok to cry harder, which in turn made Jimin hold onto him tighter.
"Kookie, it's alright. I'm alright," Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jungkook and kissed his neck. "It was just some bad news. It's not Hobi's fault. It's mine. All my fault." Taehyung forced Jungkook to look at him in the eyes. He knew that he could instill a calming effect on humans, it just took some concentration. The two lovers stared into each others eyes until Taehyung felt Jungkook's muscles relaxing.
"But what could you have done? You're the most perfect being I've ever met. Your heart holds nothing but love and kindness." Jungkook couldn't fathom his love doing anything wrong. He thought that Taehyung was the most beatific entity he would ever encounter in his life.
Jimin spoke up from the couch, "Jungkook-ah is right. Tae Tae is the most benevolent out of all of us. That's why he was chosen to watch over His human creations in the first place." Still crying he added, "It's just not fair!"
Hobi nodded in agreement. "It doesn't seen fair, you're so right. Maybe there's a chance that he will be acquitted during the trial." He looked at his angel friends who were nodding along with him.
"What trial?" Jungkook's eyes grew large. "You can't mean ..." he started sobbing as he remembered the conversation he had with Taehyung about Chan and Felix having trials just before getting their wings ripped off. "Why would you have a trial? This has to be something different than what you told me about, right?"
Taheyung shook his head, "I'm afraid not, Kookie. Hobi came here to give me a heads up, but it sounds like I will be charged with ..." he considered his words before continuing, "with a crime." Taehyung didn't want to tell Jungkook what the charge would be ... at least not yet.
Jungkook had tears streaming down his face. While he didn't know for certain what Taehyung's crime might be, somehow he felt that it was because of him. "Do you know when the trial will be? Will it be soon?"
The three angels looked at each other and realized they had no idea. Hobi had told them it was imminent according to Jin, but heaven time relative to human time was on a different scale. So it could be any day or perhaps many years from now.
"No baby. We won't know for sure until I'm called to trial. But it's going to be ok. You and me, we're going to be ok." Taehyung held Jungkook's face in his hands and smiled at him before kissing him on the lips. He knew that whichever way the trial would go, he was determined to keep his lover by his side for as long as he could.
Jimin and Hobi watched as the two lovers found comfort in each others' arms. It made Jimin suddenly miss Yoongi and Hobi long for a love of his own. Thinking about Yoongi suddenly gave Jimin an idea. Jimin spoke up, "I think we need to call the others. We should get all of this news straight from Namjoon."
