It's Monday and all my attention is focused on the new folder of accounts that I have splayed in front of me on the top of my desk. I'm going into my second week here and all I've done is go through previous accounts that should be ready and good to go only to find that they're a complete mess.

I don't understand how the last account manager got away with this.

Well, maybe that's why he doesn't have the job anymore.

Sighing, I lean forward and rest my elbows on the hard surface, rubbing the tips of my index and middle fingers against my temples.

"Morning, Harry," I hear Greyson chirp and he steps into my office, setting a large black coffee in a to go cup down in front of me.

"Holy shit, thank you," I say with a shake of my head.

I immediately grasp the cup and remove the lid, beginning to blow on the hot liquid to cool it down faster.

I had a cup of coffee before I left work this morning but after seeing what I'm working with here, I'm going to need a lot more to get me through this day.

"That bad of a Monday?" Greyson questions, taking a sip of his iced coffee before plopping down in one of the seats on the other side of my desk.

"It's absolutely ridiculous how many numbers were completely fudged on these accounts. I'm surprised bigger entities haven't gotten involved over this."

Greyson drapes one of his arms along the back the chair he occupies. "Well, from what I've heard around the office, you've been able to fix any other account thrown your way so I'm sure you'll get it sorted. Just take it one step at a time and it'll be revised and correct before you know it."

I don't respond - instead I take a sip of the coffee that's still steaming in my hand, wincing as I instantly feel it burning my tongue but I don't care. I need this caffeine now.

"Haven't seen you since the dinner on Friday, what did you think?"

Shrugging, I look up to him as I secure the lid back on my cup and move it to the side - not wanting to accidentally knock it over and risk spilling it all over this file.

"It was alright. Like you said, house was fucking massive," I respond with a laugh. "Food and drinks were good though. Garden was nice."

Greyson hums at me and I see a playful smile tug at the corner of his lips.

"What?"

"Oh nothing...Lynette may have just told me a thing or two. Something she heard from a certain someone," he snickers, taking another sip of his coffee before he slaps his thigh and stands. "Anyway, gotta get back to work. Talk to you later."
