The School Project

Chapter 13

Jades POV
My alarm goes off at 6:40am. I hear my brother downstairs watching tv. I get up and go into my closet. I decided to wear one of my many pairs of black jeans and a thin black long sleeve shirt. I brush my hair and it falls into the curls I did last night. Showing my purple streak in my hair.

I grab my phone and back pack and head downstairs. "What's up punk" I said ruffling his hair and he bats my hand away. "Why are you up to early" he shrugs. "Went to bed super early" i grab my keys off the counter and look at him "while I'm headed to school, want a ride?"

He looks over at me "nah. Kegans mom is picking me up" he smiles. I nod "see you later then" I hold out my fist and he pounds it with his fist.

I throw my black and white converse on and get in my car. I see my dad still isn't home yet. I check my phone before I get on the road and see two texts from Tori. "Good morning sleepy head" read the first one "getting you your coffee on the way to school. Cants stop me already in line" I roll my eyes.

"Seriously Vega you gotta stop spoiling me."and start the car when I feel my phone buzz again. I quickly read it "I'll never stop" I roll my eyes and put my phone in the seat next to me.

I arrive to school a few minutes earlier then normal, since I didn't have to stop to get coffee. I see the brunette walking towards my car and I smile grabbing my stuff and getting out. "Your coffee madam" she says in a silly voice. I grab the cup from her and smile. "Thank you"

I look over at school and sigh. "Everything I'm about to say today is all an act. I have to pretend to be somewhat still mean to you." She nods her head "fully agree" I smile wishing I could kiss those lips right now.

She quickly gets away from me. Which made me sad but I knew it was for the best. I headed inside and went to my locker. "Jade.. is it true you dumped Beck" one of the popular girls named Savanna asked me. I roll my eyes.

"Yeah" I say brushing her off. "So he's free?" I look at her annoyed "all yours have fun" I turn back around putting my stuff in my locker. "Tori! Jade!" I hear Cat coming down the hallway. I don't move.

"What's up Cat" I hear the gorgeous girl ask. I try so hard to ignore her. Pretending I'm uninterested in anything that has to do with her. Ugh this is so hard.

Cat runs over to me showing me her mini duck key chain. "That's great Cat" I say in a sarcastic tone and she pouts. I look out the side of my eye and see Vega standing at her locker talking to Andre.. gosh she looks so beautiful and perfect. How I want to kiss her up against that locker she's leaning on.

"What are you smiling about" Robbie asks breaking my trance. "Nothing" I say kinda snappy. I close my locker and walk down the hall past Vega and Andre. How badly I wanted to smile at her.

"Jade" Andre said grabbing my attention. I accidentally turned around too fast. Caught in a glimpse of Tori. She was wearing the gray shirt I gave her yesterday and some black leggings. Leggings Vega? Ugh so not helping.

"What." I say looking at the boy. "I know you and Beck are over now but you are welcomed to sit with us still. I'm sure Beck won't care" I give him a blank stare. "Yeah I know" I turn around and walk towards class.

I sit down in my usual seat in front of Tori. How I wished in the beginning of the year I chose the seat next to her. The bell rang and everyone came filling in the seats.

I don't have to turn around to know she's staring a hole in the back of my head.

"So" Sikowitz said standing on the mini stage like thing. "We are doing the alphabet challenge again. It's been a while so I figured let's give it a try." He looks at me "I'll hold on to your coffee this time" I roll my eyes. I dump coffee one time and he never lets it go. Ever. I hear Tori giggling behind me.

I wanted to face her.. I just couldn't stand not looking at her. I turn around and glare at her. She smiles and winks back at me. I quickly turn my head around trying not to smile.

"Tori and Beck." She sighed behind me. "It was Beck and I last time" she groans. "What is that I hear? Complaining?" Sikowitz said and she dragged her feet to the stage next to him. I could sense the jealousy she had towards him because we use to date. Making me grin to myself.

"I don't suppose you'd rather Jade come up" he says cocking his head at her. She looks over at me fighting everything in her not to smile and say yes. She looked at Beck and they started going back and forth.

"A lot happened this week" Tori starts off "Because? Why?" Beck said after. I sipped my coffee getting the perfect time to check Tori out. "Cause I meet up with someone"

"Do I know them" I stiffen up in my seat a little. Why do I feel like Vega will slip up and say something stupid. "Eh, not really." Thank the heavens. "Frank.. wasn't it?" I see the confusion go over her face as she thinks of what to say next. "Greg." He huffs. "Henry? Greg Henry?" She shook her head "I knew I shouldn't of told you"

"Just because you are my ex doesn't mean I don't care about who makes you happy" Beck said. I felt like that was slightly amid towards me. "Kay.." Tori said facing her back to him. "Look.. we are fiends right?" She turns to face him again. "Maybe" "No, a real answer" "okay. Yeah."

He shakes his head "please. You don't believe that!" "Quit being so back and forth." I agreed with Tori on that one. "Really?!?" "Sure. It's not that hard." This went on until beck messed up leaving Tori the winner. I gave her a small smile and she returned it back.

Hey. Small change, im going to stop using chapter names and just label it as "chapter one, chapter two" and so on. In my opinion it looks neater that way. Anyways hope you enjoyed!
