(TW: domestic violence)

Thursday, July 12th—The Starwood: 12 p.m.

The band gathered for rehearsals, preparing for their upcoming shows at the Starwood, the Troubadour, and the Rainbow with the familiar hum of the amplifiers filling the club. The energy in the room was palpable, a mix of excitement and determination that has carried them through countless rehearsals and shows. DJ's fingers danced across the strings of his guitar, James's voice soaring as he sang, and Rae's steady rhythm anchoring the music. The melodies flowed seamlessly, a testament to their hard work and dedication.

As they delved into their music, Rae couldn't shake off a lingering thought from their collective focus on the music that united them. They were a well-oiled machine, each member contributing their unique talents to create a harmonious blend of sound.

"So, I've been thinking," Rae shared, her eyes filled with determination. "Our songs are powerful, but I want them to be more than just 'catchy tunes.' I want our songs to be about life, you know? I want them to capture the essence of life, the raw emotions, and the struggles we all face. About how it just... is. But I can't find the darn word to describe it."

And then, Sixx arrived.

His entrance was marked by a dishevelled appearance, his hair unkempt, his eyes glazed over, seemingly lost in a haze of depression and self-destruction, and clearly not in his usual state. The energy in the room shifted, a ripple of concern passing through the bandmates as they noticed his condition.
