Chp 3 The shadow healer

Despite being a vigilante and villain they admittedly don't actually know how society sees them, they don't know if they are infamous or not, doesn't really care to cause they don't think it matters, they have always just done what they've  wanted to do and nothing else.

While most of the people they heal are kind enough, they know their aren't much of a people person and don't stick around long after they heal them, so they are kind of surprised when out on a walk a young kid. About 5 runs to them and asks for a autograph.

They... are admittedly confused by that. They are a villain, a vigilante... doesn't human society frown on those professions? Why would a kid and his mother, cause they can see her not far away watching them with a smile on her face... want their autograph, their strange but since they find it amusing they agree hesitantly and takes the notebook the kid hands them, taking a pen out of the shadows but pauses, going blank on what to write cause...

Well they don't have a name, they never needed one cause they don't interact much with people and they absolutely refuse to go by their hosts name.

Do they have a villain name? They've never called themselves anything and they don't pay nearly enough attention to stuff like that... so what to write?

Seeing the kids anxious look they tense for a moment and quickly writes whatever their shadows whisper to them and hands it back, the kid grins from ear to ear and thanks them before running back to his mother, waving before leaving and they wave back, utterly confused, amused and stressed.

Not wanting to think to much on the strange encounter they continue their walk, this time in the shadows away from people while questioning their shadows naming sense.

Seriously what kind of name is shadow healer?

While they may be extremely untrusting and xenophobic it doesn't mean they don't have people they have a fond penchant for, being a mostly healing vigilante for the past six years does let them meet a lot of people, even if they don't really react to them.

They don't know all their names, cause they never asked them or their shadows for them but they do tend to keep an eye out for them, their shadows keeping them up to date on their movements, making sure their still alive and all that, silently protecting them from attacks that would leave them dead, since they don't need to be near them to control the shadows around them.

The few names they do know and remember, cause they aren't the best at remembering names and the ones they do are usually the people they have the most fondness for.

For instance Shigiraki and Kurogiri, they find them amusing and strange, mostly weird cause despite their silence Shigiraki tends to just... hang around them? Playing his games and sometimes just talking about whatever is frustrating him at the time.

Or Kurogiri who their shadows call Oboro who constantly warps them food and clothes whenever they feel like it, even if their nowhere near each other and Kurogiri should have no clue where they are.

They aren't sure why they do that but they don't mind cause it's... nice they think.

Another human they are fond of is aizawa, an underground hero that they are 80 per cent positive is meant to catch them but just... lets them be? They usually show up to their hang out spots at night, whether he is sporting an injury or not, the times he shows up without an injury he usually tries to talk to them and failing that gives them food and clothes too.

Actually now that they think about it a lot of their clients give them clothes and food... they wonder why that is?

Do they think their homeless or can't afford that stuff?

They can afford to get what they need on their own... if they steal and they aren't homeless even if their home is... they don't want to say a dump cause it's not now after they fixed it up but it was and still is abandoned.

Well they suppose it doesn't matter, free food is free food, and so long as the clothes are loose and comfy they are more then glad to accept it.

Not that they need to eat really, the humans they absorb in their shadows provide plenty of energy in their eternal suffering which their shadows feed off of, Still they like eating human food, it's yummy.

Oh another human they know the name of is Dabi, or Touya. They like him if not find him strange, cause the guy won't let them heal him fully.

Something about his scars being an aesthetic for his villain debut and the scars being a reminder of what he's lost and the revenge he will get if they got his silent ramblings correct

They really don't understand such things, why wouldn't one want to get healed if given the chance?humans are complicated.

Then there's Toga, a nice enough girl, one of the few people they don't care to absorb when she tries to stab them cause from what they can understand she tries to stab everybody.

That and their shadows don't sense any real malicious intent when she tries to stab them so they kind of just lets her be, just heals whatever injury she got and lets her skip away into the city streets to most likely kill and maim someone else.

Then there's Shinso... he usually comes to them after being beaten by his bullies or muzzled from some assholes, tends to stick around after he heals and or free him from his muzzle and then if no one else is around act as if their a free therapist and just talks, about his troubles or dreams or just random shit they never pay to much attention to... which they think shinso knows and is why he is happy to let them by his sounding board or whatever it is humans do.

Hatsume is another strange one, always coming to them with new injuries from her inventing frenzies....they only really remember her name cause she is always talking about her babies and how she is planning on becoming some ceo of hatsume inc...

They don't know what a CEO is exactly but she talks about it often enough so it has to be something important.

Then their is that really preachy guy stain, he is a funny one, claims that they are some kind of real hero, the first time he said that they immediately killed someone in front of him to prove they weren't a hero let alone a real one.

They aren't even a fake one!

Though apparently the guy that was sneaking up on him was a so called false hero according to him... which is fair, given what their shadows whispered but seemed to just solidify his belief that they was some kinda hero.

They... honestly just gave up and stopped paying stain any heed after that.
Letting him preach to his hearts content whenever they interacted cause they aren't about to try to contradict crazies anymore, seems bothersome.

Not that they ever really has mind but proving someone wrong didn't work and they are to lazy to try again.

So they do in fact know people, remembers them well and keeps tabs on them so they are kind of stumped on what to do now that their shadows have whispered to them that some of their favourite humans, Shigiraki and Kurogiri are going to attack UA in a few days.

They honestly wouldn't care much but apparently their host and aizawa is going to be in the class their favoured attacks.

Any other class and people and they wouldn't give a damn but... host... aizawa...

Theirs also the fact they and their host look hella similar that they are surprised Aizawa hasn't asked them about it the last time he showed up...

Though now that they think about it he did look at them weird, like really intently or something...

Maybe they should warn Shigiraki and Kurogiri about their look a like and ask them to not kill their host or their other favourite?

Actually maybe they will just write a letter... they don't know if they can talk... cause they've never actually tried and now they just don't feel like it.

Sigh... Life's so complicated.
