Chp 10
When their mind recedes, back from all to just one. They aren't surprised to find themselves in the nurses office of UA, in shadows they always know all, though understanding what they see and know is far to much of a reach.
...though they wonder why they always seem to be rhyming, when they come back from the everything and the nothing, curiosity consumes them for naught but a moment, then it is once again buried under the tide of the sea as apathy greets them once again.
They don't know if they are apathetic, if apathy is what they truly feel at all, since they know they feel, they feel angry, sad, happy, cruel... they know they can feel all the emotions a human can when they are in their physical body, but what they feel usually only flashes briefly, only seconds before they just fade away and then they no longer care.
It's only with the feelings that last, that linger that lets them know they subconsciously care far more then they actually feel.
It's one of few reasons why they think they have favoured humans, why they care so much about helping others no matter who or what they are, why they do a lot of the things they do or enjoy.
Because the feelings surrounding those beings, those things always have lingering feelings attached to them, they are always mostly nice feelings too, other feelings may intertwine with those good feelings, for reasons they don't understand such as sadness, like when Aizawa hugged them, or anger, such as when they met the preacher and they called them a hero but the good usually overrides the brief bouts of other, much more complex various human emotions.
The only pure negative lingering feelings they hold are only two, both for some reason connected to their host... a strange circumstance, given they tend to just not care for him for unknown reasons.
They dislike the one that has and is always bullying their host, who broke their host in so many different ways, ways they will never hope to understand or even catch a glimpse of because their host simply won't let them see, won't let the cracks show and be laid bare before anyone else.
Won't let their suicidal ideation, their complete apathy on their own well being be seen past bar the very surface.
They won't bother telling anybody else either, they don't care about their host, even if their actions concerning him seem otherwise, so long as they don't die they truly do not care.
Maybe that could change, but they cannot see how, they don't know the future, the shadows only show, only tell of what currently is and or has been, never what could or will be.
They will heal the bully, despite their dislike if only because their neutrality overshadows that distaste.
They also don't like the all mighty blow up doll, they know they always have, always having found the human male much to... shiny.... And... they think brainless is the word they are looking for... for an admittedly confused shadowy existence like them, to be able to stand.
They were still always neutral towards them though, nothing changed that neutrality even when their favourite villainous human complained about him, even if they did agree with the many points they made.
That neutrality they maintained only turned into hate the moment they crushed their hosts hopes, their dreams down into paste with their quirkiest lies.
They will not feed them too their shadows to feast upon for they have committed no crime punishable of death, of eternal suffering in the shadows as their light is taken.
They will never heal them though, not when they made them hate, not when they spout such lies even if to him, they are truth because the shadows tell, they show of many great hero's without cosmic or inborn powers to hold their own, fighting even against gods of unparalleled power and strength and winning, by not but their own ingenuity, of their own skills and wit.
