Chp 15
Normally they don't exactly like being in crowds, there too noisy, too crowded, it's all so much that for reasons they can't comprehend they feel suffocated, like they can't feel or breath or that they even exist.
Strange of a notion as that all is, given they never need to breathe and they know that so long as light exists they exist and feeling... well their still getting used to that, the new pleasant sensations that aren't pain, though even then pain is not something they tend to feel, only ever when they are with their host, feeling his pain which they both derive pleasure in do they let themselves feel it since they have not yet found someone they would allow to give them such pleasurable pain.
Though to feel none of it is... unpleasant. They can't talk in crowds either, not that they talk a-lot, given it is still something new, something they aren't used to or feel the need to do a-lot of so they feel so overwhelmed with all the different lights and shadows that they never tended to notice when they were part of all instead of as they are now.
So they wonder why they bothered coming to this festival that UA is holding, maybe it's for Shinso, who while feeling better, after a few talks with Nokma, still isn't feeling the greatest, though they are at least back to sometimes hanging around them, talking a mile a minute about random things he barely pays attention too.
Or maybe it's to see how Hatsume does, since she is always interesting to watch, always so energetic and experimenting with different inventions and formulas without ever crossing that very fine line to what humans and many other life forms consider immoral.
Something they understand but don't quite get though they think they should.
Or maybe they just want to watch their host struggle, since they always find some amusement in watching them flail around, though it isn't as enjoyable as it once was for some reason, which is weird, cause it seems like their feelings or lack of them are constantly changing, switching between the two states with varying degrees which is... very annoying, since emotions aren't exactly their strong suit to begin with.
It could be a multitude of different reasons why their here but they don't know them, they just know they are here now and... don't exactly know what to do now that they are.
They don't want to leave, but they really don't want to be within the crowd either and they refuse to hide in another's shadow, or rest within their host so... they kind of have no idea what to do or where to go within this big ass stadium.
Their kind of just stuck in this little corner they walked to within the main battle ground and used their shadows to hide themselves while observing the world around them.
They are not sure why they are hiding, just that they don't want to be seen just yet.
They find it amusing, how riled up everybody gets when their hosts villainous bully says how he will crush everyone, given everyone's current power levels, that is most likely true as well, unless someone manages to come up with some pretty strong tactics.
If the one who is both hot and cold would use their fire maybe they could win, based on pure strength alone though it is doubtful, given how much his quirk is wailing, how it is screaming in pain, even if they did use their fire... the fire would not fully heed his call, would refuse to go all out for to deny his own fire the fire shall deny him.
Even their ice is not being as strong as it otherwise could be, for it is not pleased at how he denies it's other half, how their host hurts them for both halves are one in the same.
Given how petty most all quirks are, this will last his whole life, no how much he accepts his own quirks fire, neither ice nor fire will fully submit to their hosts commands.
