Chp 12
Hitoshi has admittedly made some very questionable decisions and choices in his so far short, but exhausting life, some more toeing that grey area between 'this is legal' and 'this is definitely illegal' but given his quirk and other people's biases and bigotry and downright abuse it's not exactly like he had any other choice in making those decisions.
Morally ambiguous choices and decisions aside though, he never once questioned or wondered if befriending the shadow healer was morally wrong or questionable before, if they even are friends, given the other boys never really... said anything for lack of a better description.
Sure Hitoshi knew the guy wasn't all innocent, wasn't just some possibly autistic, as sleep deprived or more as him guy who just wanted to help heal others and that he has in fact killed people before.
Though given what he has heard on the underground grapevine those guys were nothing but pure assholes, the absolute worst type of scum you can or perhaps can't even imagine.
So yeah, given all he knew of the guy Hitoshi never once questioned his most likely one sided friendship with the healer vigilante.
That was of course, until now
Hitoshi knew his friend was over powered, knew that his quirk was multifaceted and could do a lot more then heal or transport people from point A to B... even if at the time he didn't know just what his quirk was fully capable of, simply because the guy was and in essence, despite his now major misgivings still is a pacifist who would rather die then hurt or watch others get hurt unless they had no other choice, or as is the case honestly truly deserve it, who the other boy found to dangerous, to despicable to let live any longer simply because of the harm they have done, or would continue to do to others if left alone.
Hitoshi knew all that, knew it with every fibre of his being, that he is eighty percent sure every other person who has spent any reasonable amount of time with the guy knows of just as instinctively as him.
What Hitoshi did not know though, that he is absolutely positively a hundred percent sure of.
Is that the other boy is a secret, unabashed, possibly most likely definitely unaware but still full on sadist with a quirk literally comparable to the gods from mythology he has read about in a few of his many insomnia episodes.
Which brings Hitoshi back to his main question of, was asking his pacifistic but emotionally and socially incompetent vigilante of a friend, (his only friend at that) who has the powers of gods a good idea?
*raugh*
Hitoshi is more inclined to believe this is most definitely NOT one of his brightest ideas.
Suddenly holding his breath, trying to stifle any possible sound, to calm his rapidly beating heart, to calm his spiking nerves and not freak the fuck out like he had the first few hours he came here to this place, this fucking messed up, terrifying time period just so he doesn't give his position away.
"Breathe, despite what others may claim stealth is not about concealing one's breath, it is about controlling it, breathe shallowly, deeply but softly, let it become one with the environment, let the surroundings conceal you naturally, do not try and force it or yourself to hide unless you want to have an earlier death"
Hitoshi seriously wants to curse at his friend, since what the fuck does that even mean!? he won't because that would only lead to him getting maimed and possibly dying at the claws and fangs of a seriously fast, surprisingly intelligent and swift predator.
Sure his chances of dying are surprisingly low, since despite transporting Hitoshi back in bloody fucking time into the age of the fucking dinosaurs, if that is even where he is since Hitoshi is pretty damn certain there were no horrific, deadly but also strangely beautiful creatures like some of what he has seen so far from what he knows of from trips to the museum, class assignments and late night dives into the web had ever existed on there planet.
