Hayley's POV

I joined the crowd of curious onlookers to watch the drama Emer was cooping up. I knew it wasn't gonna end well. She was doing all she could to break Aimy to spill the truth.

It was quite intense at first, didn't think Aimy could survive this long.
She finally caught Aimy into her well whooped up loop.
Her game was a little lose, but there was nothing Aimy could say to defend herself– It got me so frustrated that I didn't realize when I spoke– That wasn't until the hole crowd turned to my direction.

I had to go on seeing I couldn't back out. So, I joined the dust-up.

I did get Emer to quit, but it didn't take long for me to regret that, once she threatened to expose my secret. Another pain in the back derived from my sister's carelessness...

Patricia's POV

Miss smarty pants was about to be exposed for the cunning liar she is.

In truth I never thought we could get this far without any evidence against her.

I assisted Emer to get another opening, since her getting junior Wynn's brother to come didn't work as well as we wanted. Everything we planned was a burst since she also refused to have anything we gave, not even the juice. Which we had drugged to intoxicate her.

I waited patiently after the trap had been set– for her to fall deep into it– But her stupid friend just had to come ruin everything. Even Lilley was on her side. It's either she's an extremely lucky soul, or she's a witch.
I'm sure it's the witch part.

Well, she made a few claims– Hayley.
Which seemed to be true since Emer couldn't defend herself, She storms off and I had to follow.
I don't know why Hayley helped her and I don't even care. All I know is that she has just stepped into a deadly feud...

At Aimy's house
Aimy reaches home at 11:58pm.

“I hope mom wouldn't mind, it's still before midnight, right?” Aimy murmured to herself hopefully.
She pulls open the door gently and tries to sneak off to her room– which she was able to do. Once she was inside, she breathed a sigh of relief, only to find her mom on her bed.

“Hey baby." Her mom said ruining Aimy's moment.

“Ha! Mom" Aimy reacted in shock.

“Its past your curfew" She added

“Technically, it isn't. I got here 11:58 and you said before midnight..” Aimy points out sheepishly, in a sneaky tone.

“Hon, you know what I meant. It's great that you're now learning to live a little, but I'm not really okay with the late night parties, disappearing without informing me. Hon, you're getting me concerned.” Allison concluded soberly.

“I always ask you before I leave the house." Aimy defends Confusingly

“Oh, you wanna play that game, alright. The water park, which you also happened to have mysteriously disappeared from and returned back late at night. Okay, let's imagine I overlook that one. Grandma's, you never said where you wondered off to that Sunday." Allison challenges

“First, I did tell you about the water park, just not by words. I left a note. And last Sunday, let's just say it's somewhere you wouldn't want to know about." Aimy replied weirdly.

“Oh honey, you know you could tell me anything. If it's a guy I'd just say play it safe, you know-"

“Why do you always assume stuffs like that?” Aimy interrupts furiously

“Well, cause you're a teenage girl, and I know boys are one of the traumas girls get to face as they grow older.”

“You know mom, there's wa-y more to life than Friends, Parties and boys.
I'm really sorry to burst your bubble, but I didn't go to see any guy, never have. I went to church those two times. A place I always feel safe at and you've refused me to go for years now.” Aimy lashes out in frustration.

“Yah, and this is exactly why. You never raised your voice at me before. Is that what Church's teaching you?"

“Ofcourse not mom. It's what years of having to endure someone like you causes. I mean what kind of a mom stops her child from going to church because she thinks it's boring. The only thing you consider fun is friends and the park.”
“Oh, wait let's not forget parties.” Aimy adds dramatically.

“Those a-re fun things. If not, at least it's way better than you sitting in a place for hours, with someone constantly reminding you of how imperfect you're.”

“Is that how you feel about the church? Or is it the guilt of you lacking all those things and not wanting to work towards attaining them, cause you think you feel comfortable where you're?" Aimy questions anxiously.

“No, honey" Allison said in a teary tone, “I just wanted to give you what I didn't have." Allison concluded leaving the room in tears.

“What have I done?" Aimy said in a remorseful tone.

Next day
Aimy's POV

I had a really terrible dream last night about losing my mom. It made me realize how selfish I had been. Yes, mom hasn't been the best mom, but she hasn't been the worst. And it was sure wrong of me to judge her like that without knowing why she does what she does.

But in my defense, I didn't think there was a reason.

I tried talking to her after our argument, but she wouldn't reply. And I didn't get the chance to see her this morning before she left for work.
I really hope nothing happens to her, or I'm gonna live the rest of my life in guilt and regret.

The rest of my day was quite messed up, at least that was until the knock...

*********************************

Aimy was roaming around the house in both worry and boredom.
She decided to rest her bot on the living room couch, when a soft thwack on the door sends her dashing towards the door in hope.

She was hoping it would be her mom, but it most certainly wasn't...
